Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is the abbreviation of childhood hyperactivity syndrome. The disease is mainly a psychological disorder. Generally, the intelligence of children is normal or close to normal. After getting the disease, the children will show frequent movements and lack of concentration. Some children will also become easily angry. These are all manifestations of ADHD. There are also many causes of ADHD. Let us learn about the causes of ADHD. 1. Genetic factors: About 40% of the parents of children with ADHD have siblings or other relatives who also suffered from the disorder in their childhood. The incidence of ADHD symptoms in monozygotic twins is significantly higher than that in dizygotic twins. The incidence of ADHD in siblings is higher than that in half-siblings (with the same mother but half father, or with different mothers but the same father), and is higher than that in normal children. The above points all suggest that genetic factors are closely related to ADHD, which is also the cause of ADHD. 2. Organic damage to brain tissue: Approximately 85% of children with ADHD have dysfunction in the prefrontal cortex or caudate nucleus. Including the mother's diseases during pregnancy: such as hypertension, nephritis, anemia, threatened abortion, colds, etc.; abnormal delivery process: such as premature birth, forceps delivery, cesarean section, asphyxia, intracranial hemorrhage, etc.; infection and trauma to the central nervous system within 1 to 2 years after birth. Children with the above conditions are more likely to develop ADHD, which may also be one of the causes of ADHD. 3. Biological factors: A large number of studies have confirmed that the central monoamine receptors in children with ADHD are renewed more slowly. The latest medical research from Harvard University in the United States found that the prefrontal lobe images of children with ADHD are darker than those of normal children. This is because children's ADHD is caused by defects in the prefrontal inhibition system that controls attention and executes central nervous system commands in the brain. 4. Environmental factors: The causes of ADHD in children also include social, family, and psychological factors. A bad social environment, a broken family, parents with bad personalities, and unexpected mental stimulation can easily lead to children's inattention and hyperactivity. 5. Lack of vitamins and trace elements: Studies have found that vitamin deficiency, metabolic disorders caused by certain food additives or pigments are also related to children's hyperactive behavior. (Lead, mercury, cadmium) poisoning is a more popular theory, but not all children with the same condition have ADHD, so the cause of this childhood ADHD needs further study. After the above introduction, we now know the causes of ADHD in children. No matter what the cause is, after a child develops ADHD, we must take the child to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. During the treatment period, we must also carefully regulate the child in normal times and treat the child from multiple aspects. |
