However, if the lip frenulum is not retracted properly and is positioned too low, the incisors will be pulled together by the lip frenulum after they grow out, and a gap will appear. The lip frenulum attachment point can be cut a little inward, and the two front teeth will gradually move closer to the middle.

2. Slow eruption of permanent teeth. When all the front teeth of a child's deciduous teeth fall out, the permanent teeth have not fully erupted, which is an important reason for the large gaps between children's teeth. For example, after a child loses four deciduous incisors, only two permanent incisors grow. Generally, the permanent teeth will shift to a place where they have not erupted yet. During this period, good oral care and correct use of teeth can reduce the degree of displacement. Once other permanent teeth erupt, the situation will improve and the gap between the two teeth will gradually disappear.
