Swelling on both sides of the child's throat

Swelling on both sides of the child's throat

Parents pay close attention to the health of their children, so when any physical problems occur in their children, parents can often observe them at the first time. If a child is found to be coughing, parents should observe whether the child's throat is abnormally red, swollen or enlarged. So what should parents do when they notice swelling on both sides of their children's throats?

When a child has a red and swollen throat, the first thing to do is to determine what is causing it. If it is caused by an infection, then oral medication is needed to treat it. Commonly used treatments for baby's sore throat include antibiotics such as penicillin and spiramycin.

If your child's condition is not serious, then you only need to spray some medicine on the inflamed area for treatment. Generally, the use of ribavirin spray can achieve good relief. You can let your child gargle with salt water to relieve discomfort.

If it is just caused by getting angry, you can eat more foods that reduce fire, and you can also get some Chinese medicine for conditioning. When you get a sore throat, you must maintain a light diet and eat more foods that can clear away heat, promote salivation, remove dampness and reduce fire.

This can help children remove liver fire and nourish the lungs. For example, common cool fruits in life, such as pitaya, grapefruit, strawberry, loquat, apple, pear, etc., are all helpful in treating children with symptoms such as sore throat, irritability, bad breath, dry stool and yellow urine.

What should I do if my child's voice becomes hoarse?

Treatment:

1. Avoid letting children drink carbonated beverages such as juice and soda

Parents should let their children develop the habit of drinking plenty of water, because drinking more water can speed up the excretion of toxins in the body. Children and infants should avoid drinking juice and soda. If they are thirsty, they should drink boiled water. If your child doesn’t like drinking plain water, you can add juice or tea to adjust the flavor so that he or she will like drinking water. When your baby has a hoarse throat, do not let him eat peanuts or melon seeds, because these foods can easily cause dry throat and are not conducive to the recovery of the child's throat.
