What does it mean when the baby has obvious blue veins on his head?

If there are blue veins on the baby's head, parents will have wild thoughts and worry that the blue veins on the baby's head are bad for the child's health. There are different opinions among the people about the blue veins on the baby's head. If there are blue veins on the baby's head, some people say that this is not good for the baby and the baby is prone to illness. Some blue veins on the baby's head are particularly obvious. If there are blue veins on the baby's head, parents will also worry that the child's physique is not good. So what does it mean when the blue veins on the baby's head are obvious?

"Blue vein babies" are prone to catching colds

We selected more than 150 infants less than six months old and divided them into two groups for observation. Among them, one group was babies born with blue veins on their heads, and the other group was normal babies. During the more than three years of follow-up, we did not find that babies with blue veins on their heads were prone to convulsions, anorexia, worm diseases, etc. as the ancients said. There is no significant difference in their incidence rates of pneumonia, diarrhea, anemia, rickets, night crying, eczema, malnutrition, etc. compared with other children. However, we discovered an important problem: the incidence of colds and bronchitis in "blue vein babies" was significantly higher than that in children without blue veins.

Babies with blue veins on their heads are more susceptible to respiratory infections, but what about older children? We then conducted a follow-up survey of more than 1,000 children in nurseries and kindergartens and found that about 30% of the children had blue veins on their faces. In addition to blue veins on their heads, some of these children also have blue veins on their temporal areas and upper and lower eyelids. Compared with other children, they are also prone to recurrent colds, asthma and other respiratory diseases.

Blue veins "forecast" asthma prognosis

It seems that the blue veins on the head are somewhat related to respiratory diseases. Therefore, we set our next research target on children with respiratory diseases. We conducted long-term observations on children who are prone to repeated colds and children with asthma, and found that a high proportion of these children, about 60%, had blue veins on their heads. Among them, the rate of blue veins visible at the root of the nose in children with asthma reached 70%.

We examined the immune function of these children and found that those with blue veins had significantly low immune function. In traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis, the appearance of blue veins generally indicates "blood stasis" in the body. Sure enough, we found that the platelet aggregation function (a laboratory test that can reflect blood stasis syndrome) of the "blue vein baby" was obviously abnormal. Other examinations also confirmed that the "blue vein baby" did show symptoms of blood stasis.

The blue veins on the face of the "blue vein baby" are "colorful", including horizontal (mostly), vertical, branched, dark blue, and light blue. During our observations, we did not find any special details about the various shapes of the blue veins, but the color of the blue veins is very important: when a disease occurs, the blue veins are dark blue; when the condition improves, the blue veins turn light blue; when the disease is cured, most of the blue veins disappear. This reminds us that the advance and retreat of the blue veins on the bridge of the nose has a certain relationship with the severity of the disease, and can be used as a reference indicator for the prognosis of respiratory diseases such as asthma.

If there are blue veins on the baby's head, the meaning is very clear. We have introduced the above content in detail. If you find that there are blue veins on your child's forehead, you should consider these factors to see if your forehead has these factors. If there are blue veins on your child's forehead and the child's physique is not good, you should adjust the child in time to eliminate the blue veins.
