What kind of exercise should children do?

Now with the improvement of living standards, people eat better and better, but their health is not as good as before because many people do not like to exercise. If you want to have a healthy body, you must develop the habit of exercising, starting from childhood. The way children exercise is certainly not the same as that for adults. It requires more careful and serious planning to promote the healthy development of children's bodies. What kinds of sports are suitable for children?

The following sports are suitable for preschoolers:

1. Long-distance running

Long-distance running helps growth and development. Research by experts at home and abroad has found that after a year of long-distance running training, children and adolescents have normal physical development, with height and weight growth higher than that of ordinary children and adolescents. However, children's physical development is not yet mature, and the functions of their organs are still relatively weak. Therefore, they must apply appropriate loads when running long distances, pay attention to controlling the intensity, and arrange the amount of exercise according to their ability.

2. Stand at attention

Practice has shown that if children and teenagers insist on "standing at attention" training, it is very effective in correcting "O"-shaped legs and "X"-shaped legs. The specific method is: keep the whole body in a regular standing posture and draw the Qi from Dantian upwards. People with "O"-shaped legs should keep their feet together and keep their knees as close together as possible. If necessary, you can use a rubber band with appropriate elasticity to tie the knees together to increase the inner leaning force. People with "X"-shaped legs should keep their knees together and their heels as close together as possible. Do this 2 or more times a day, each time for 20 minutes.

3. Table tennis

Eye fatigue is an important cause of myopia. When playing table tennis, both eyes must keep a close eye on the fast ball that is moving back and forth, sometimes far away, sometimes near, and sometimes rotating. This keeps the eyeballs moving, increases blood circulation, and improves the function of the optic nerves, thereby eliminating or reducing eye fatigue and preventing myopia.

4. Bounce

Experts believe that all aerobic exercises have a brain-boosting effect, and jumping exercises are the best. Activities such as skipping rope, kicking shuttlecock, jumping rubber bands, dancing, etc. can supply the brain with sufficient energy and stimulate its vitality.

Among the above activities, rubber band jumping is the best. Sports medicine experts have demonstrated that it can provide overall and coordinated exercise for the waist, leg muscles, joints and cerebral cortex nerves of the human body. This fitness method is suitable for children aged 6 to 16. It requires a small space and flat ground.

5. Swimming

When swimming, the ultraviolet rays from the sun can not only kill bacteria, but also promote children's growth and development, enhance metabolism, and promote physical health. People have to bear the pressure of water in water and overcome the resistance of water when swimming. Breathing is much more difficult than on land. Regular swimming can promote the development of respiratory muscles, increase lung capacity, and thus improve respiratory function. The stimulation of cold water can dilate blood vessels in the skin and improve children's ability to adapt to changes in external temperature. Swimming has a more significant effect on cardiopulmonary exercise. Swimming is also a good exercise for the heart. It can promote the development of the myocardium, make its contraction stronger, increase blood output, and exercise the large muscle groups throughout the body, making the body grow fit and well-proportioned.

There are many more sports suitable for children than these. These are just the tip of the iceberg. Children and parents can learn about and implement them through more channels. When children exercise, they must be supervised by their parents to ensure their safety. Also, parents should supervise their children to persist in exercising, because children lack self-control and may not be able to persist for so long. This requires parents to urge their children to persist in exercising so that their children can have a healthy body.
