Is it good to use enema for children’s constipation?

Constipation is a disease that generally occurs in adults, but since when, children also suffer from constipation. This is more or less related to children’s daily diet. At this time, the child’s constipation problem must be solved with the most correct method, and never use any folk remedies to treat it. So the question is, is it good to use enema for children with constipation?

Constipation means that the stool becomes hard and difficult to pass, not that the frequency of bowel movements becomes less frequent. Just like adults, babies can become constipated. If parents suspect that their baby is constipated, it is best to observe the baby's symptoms first. If your baby meets the following conditions, he may be truly constipated.

1. Newborn babies have less than one bowel movement a day, and the stool is very hard, making it difficult for the baby to defecate;

2. For older babies, the stool is dry, hard, and coarse. The baby may even feel pain when defecating, and the baby may only defecate once every 3-4 days.

3. The baby's stool looks bloody, and the baby's diaper or underwear may also have feces between two bowel movements;

4. If the baby has a large bowel movement at one time, the abdominal pain will be relieved.

If the baby's symptoms are relatively mild, parents can give the baby some water to relieve the symptoms. Water is the most convenient laxative. Babies who are still drinking milk need to consult a doctor.

If your baby has already started eating complementary foods, you need to add more high-fiber foods to his diet, such as pears, prunes, apricots, plums, raisins, broccoli, cabbage, spinach, beans, etc. Eating these foods regularly can also prevent constipation. The premise is that the baby is not allergic to these foods.

At the same time, eat less bananas! Bananas cannot cure constipation! No!

In more serious cases, you can occasionally try a glycerin suppository such as Kaisel.
