If children do not consume enough vegetables and fruits, they can supplement them with lutein oral solution. But if children take lutein supplements, will it have any effect on their bodies?

1. Is it harmful for children to eat lutein?

Lutein can promote the development of vision and intelligence, improve the user's memory and prevent myopia. As there are more and more electronic products nowadays, not only adults but also children often come into contact with them. We all know that electronic products have a great impact on our vision. Therefore, many parents will give their children lutein to prevent their children from myopia.

Lutein can protect children's eyesight and improve symptoms such as eye swelling, soreness, dryness, etc. caused by excessive eye use. If children can supplement lutein reasonably, it will be beneficial to their health and eyesight.

However, although lutein can help children prevent myopia, it cannot be used to treat myopia. If children only take lutein to treat pseudomyopia, it will delay the recovery of vision. In addition, if the child's stomach is very sensitive, he or she may experience symptoms such as diarrhea after taking lutein. Therefore, parents are reminded that although children can take lutein, they should still be cautious and it is recommended to choose lutein specifically for children.

2. How should children take lutein?

Everyone should be clear about the effects of lutein. Here we need to remind parents again that when children take lutein, the dosage needs to be strictly controlled. Because, under normal circumstances, the dosage of lutein supplement for children cannot be too high. An additional 1 to 2 mg per day is enough, not more, otherwise the lutein may be difficult to fully absorb in the body, which will bring a burden to the child's body.

The same is true for lutein.
