How to regulate the newborn's stomach and intestines

The gastrointestinal development of newborns is not yet perfect, so almost every newborn will have corresponding symptoms of poor gastrointestinal function, such as diarrhea, abdominal distension, unwillingness to eat, and even anorexia. This makes every new mother helpless, worrying that the baby will not be able to take in enough nutrition, and that the baby's poor gastrointestinal function will affect normal growth and development. So today I will introduce to you how to regulate the newborn's gastrointestinal function, hoping to help every mother.

1. Wash and mash fresh carrots, put them in a small amount of water and boil them for 10 to 15 minutes, then filter out the residue, then add water and a small amount of sugar, boil it, and then cool it to the appropriate temperature before giving it to your baby to drink.

2. The tannic acid, organic alkali and other substances contained in apples have astringent effects, and the pectin they contain can absorb toxins. For simple mild diarrhea, eating apples alone can stop diarrhea. The cellulose in apples can stimulate intestinal peristalsis and accelerate defecation, so it also has a laxative effect. Mash ripe apples and add to weak tea. Apple fibers are finer, causing less irritation to the intestines, and are rich in pectin, which has an astringent effect.

3. Boil the hawthorn in a casserole into a thick juice, then add rice and brown sugar and cook into porridge, and give it to the baby in the morning and afternoon. Note: Do not consume on an empty stomach.

4. Because tea contains caffeine, tannic acid, etc., it has stimulating, cardiotonic, diuretic, astringent, bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effects, and is effective for acute gastroenteritis. Take a small amount of black tea and brew it with boiling water. Give it to your baby 4-5 times a day. It has a good effect on acute gastroenteritis.

The dietary therapies introduced above can effectively regulate the poor gastrointestinal symptoms of newborns. Compared with drug treatment, dietary therapy is healthier and has no side effects. Parents should also pay more attention to their children’s life and diet. Do not let the children eat too much food at one time. When going out, remember to put an extra coat on the child to prevent the stomach from getting cold.
