Are there any side effects of azithromycin in children?

Azithromycin for children is a nationally approved drug. Its main raw materials are a combination of Chinese and Western ingredients. Although it is a common antibiotic, it can inhibit various viral disease drugs. Depending on the type of disease, the effect is different. It can mainly treat pharyngitis, tonsillitis, otitis media, sinusitis, etc. However, everyone should also pay attention to understand it clearly before using it. This is very important.

Does Azithromycin Dispersible Tablets have any side effects ?

Side effects refer to pharmacological effects other than the therapeutic purpose that occur after using therapeutic doses of drugs. The positive effects of the drug are the main ones. A drug often has multiple effects, including both therapeutic and non-therapeutic effects.

Side effects and therapeutic effects can be transformed under certain conditions. Different treatment purposes also lead to changes in the concept of side effects. Side effects are usually transient and disappear as the therapeutic effect wears off. But sometimes it can also cause sequelae.

Medicines are like a double-edged sword. While they have therapeutic effects, they are bound to have adverse reactions. Therefore, drugs that have been reported to have adverse reactions do not necessarily mean that they are unqualified drugs, nor should they be equated with "poison", "fake drugs", "inferior drugs", or "unusable drugs". At present, Guangdong Province has launched a reporting system for adverse drug reactions. Chen Taichang said that reporting adverse drug reaction incidents is to remind pharmaceutical manufacturers, operating companies, medical institutions and the general public to pay attention to the safety risks of drugs and to avoid the recurrence of serious adverse drug reactions, thereby building an effective barrier to ensure the safety of public drug use.

Azithromycin dispersible tablets have no obvious toxic side effects (adverse reactions). However, if the patient experiences severe side effects from taking azithromycin dispersible tablets, he or she should consult a doctor immediately so that the doctor can diagnose and prescribe the right medicine in a timely manner.
