Causes of swollen lips in children

Causes of swollen lips in children

The weather is usually cold, and many children's mouths will be very dry due to wind and sand or low air quality. Children will keep licking their lips. Children's bodies are most likely to lack vitamins. Parents will constantly use lipstick on their children, but they are worried that their children will eat the lipstick. Many parents will find that their children's lips are swollen and there is a circle of redness around them. What is the reason?

Considering that this may be related to cheilitis, you can use some lip balm to protect it, supplement some vitamin B, and pay attention to your diet.

1. Don’t lick your chapped lips. The air humidity is low and the wind is strong. Many people often have dry lips, cracks at the corners of their mouths that bleed and cause pain, which even affects their talking, laughing and eating.

2. The red area around the human lips is called the "vermilion border". Its moisture is maintained by the local abundant capillaries and a small number of underdeveloped sebaceous glands. Due to the low humidity and strong winds in autumn, the blood circulation of human skin and mucous membranes is poor. If you eat less fresh vegetables, the body's intake of vitamin B2 and vitamin A will be insufficient, and the skin and mucous membranes will become dry and cracked.

3. Just moisten your lips with a cotton ball to avoid sticking.

Above we have introduced children's swollen lips. First of all, you can apply some lipstick to your child appropriately but not excessively. Give your child some vitamins or vitamin B2 to supplement the body. Children's mouths are prone to swelling on weekdays, so be sure to replenish your child with water in time.
