Reasons why newborns hum when they sleep

As we all know, the physical health of newborns is a matter of great concern to their families. Since the organs of newborns are not fully developed, their immunity and disease resistance are relatively poor. We recommend that parents and friends take good care of newborns in their daily lives. Some newborns will hum when they sleep. We will introduce the reasons below.

Whether a child is calcium deficient can only be determined through examination. Symptoms such as excessive sweating, irritability, crying at night, occipital hair loss, rib valgus, square head, pigeon chest, and funnel chest are important bases for doctors to judge whether the child is calcium deficient. However, these symptoms can only be confirmed under a doctor's examination to determine whether the child is calcium deficient. Because some symptoms and signs are non-specific, such as easy sweating and restless sleep, they may be caused by the imperfect development of the child's nervous system; occipital hair loss may be caused by excessive sweating, which irritates the skin and causes itching, and the baby shakes his head and rubs the occipital area to relieve the itching. There are many factors that cause nighttime crying, such as vitamin B1 deficiency, sleep disorders, etc.; rib protrusion may also be caused by the chest strap being too tight. Therefore, parents cannot judge whether their children are calcium deficient by themselves, and doctors must also conduct auxiliary examinations on this basis to determine.

Bone X-rays and blood tests can be done to confirm whether your child is calcium deficient. The thinning hair of some children is related to lack of nutrients. For example, lack of protein will make the hair thin. Lack of fat will make the hair dry and dull; lack of zinc will make the hair curly and yellow; when children have nutritional anemia or lack of vitamin D and calcium, hair growth will also be affected. It is recommended that mothers take their children for a check-up to see if their children are lacking in trace elements.

People often say that if you shave a child's hair more often, his hair will grow darker and thicker. In reality, this approach doesn't work. The factors that determine the quality of hair growth are not on the surface of the scalp, but at the roots of the hair under the skin. After each shaving, the hair may grow faster at the beginning, but it will slow down when it reaches a certain length. The amount of hair will not increase and the hair roots will also be irritated.

The normal appearance of the fontanelle should be flat or slightly sunken. It can often be seen pulsating with the baby's pulse. Gently stroking the fontanelle will feel flat and soft. As you age, your skull continues to grow, and new bone is added to the edges of the skull, causing the fontanelles to gradually shrink and close. Generally speaking, the fontanelles close between 12 and 18 months.

The fontanelle is too large. Generally, shortly after the baby is born, the anterior fontanelle reaches a size of 4-5 cm. The most likely possibility is that the baby has congenital rickets. There is also the possibility of hydrocephalus, where the baby's head is squeezed as it passes through the birth canal, and the anterior fontanelle gradually enlarges a few days after birth.

There is also the issue of teething. The early or late eruption of teeth is related to genetics. Generally, the baby's first deciduous tooth erupts at an age of 4-10 months, and all 20 deciduous teeth are usually grown at the age of 2 and a half. Some individuals may be as late as 3 years old. The order of teeth eruption, age and number of teeth erupted vary greatly from baby to baby, so there is no need to compare one baby with another. To ensure the eruption of teeth, children should be allowed to chew more. In terms of food, eating more nutritious foods containing protein, calcium, phosphorus and vitamins ACD can help children's deciduous teeth erupt.

Newborns have low resistance and will have many symptoms, such as diarrhea, jaundice and some sleep problems, which will threaten the baby's health. After understanding the cause of the newborn's humming while sleeping, you should also pay attention to the baby's situation. Do not choose methods to improve it at will. At the same time, the use of drugs must be based on the doctor's advice. Random use of drugs to relieve the baby's humming will have an impact on the baby's body.
