Is it good to give your baby a bath in the morning?

Many children are born to love water. This is closely related to the children's growth environment. In summer, children like to play with water very much. Therefore, many parents often observe that their children are very happy when they touch water, and they will not cry when they take a bath in water. This is because children like to take a bath and like water. Many people bathe their children at night, but some people like to bathe their children in the morning. So is it good for babies to take a bath in the morning?

A newborn loves water because it is the warm amniotic fluid in which it floats in its mother's womb. He is not afraid of water and can spit out water that enters his mouth. He will not choke if immersed in water for a moment. This reflex is also present in his mother's womb. Therefore, parents don’t have to worry about water flowing onto their babies’ faces when bathing them. It’s okay to just soak them in water.

Touch is a very important physiological function, but it is not given as much attention as vision and hearing. Psychologists believe that the dexterity of hands as children grow older is closely related to the early development of touch. From a physiological point of view, bathing is a good habit that is conducive to cleanliness, hygiene, growth and development. From a psychological point of view, bathing is the best tactile training. When bathing, a newborn's whole body can be stimulated by the water temperature, towel, soap and the movements of the adult's hands.

Pay attention to the water temperature when taking a bath. Adults can use their elbows to test it to make sure it is neither too cold nor too hot. The water temperature is related to the room temperature. Generally, the water temperature of 37C is the same as the human body temperature, but when the room temperature is 10C, the bath water temperature should rise to 38~40C. Newborns are not sensitive enough to cold and hot stimuli, so be careful to prevent burns. When bathing, use your hands, a fine sponge or a soft towel to rub soap all over the baby's body, rinse it and dry it with a towel. This different stimulation is a tactile training for newborns. When stripping off clothes before washing and after washing, you should gently pat the newborn's entire body with your hands, and touch his chest, abdomen, back muscles and limbs. If a newborn baby does not develop the habit of taking a bath, he will refuse to take a bath after three or four months. Some babies don’t like taking a bath after having an unpleasant experience (mostly the irritation of hot water or soapy water getting into their eyes), and they become frightened and cry when they touch water. If adults' movements are rough, coercive, or hurried, the baby may feel frightened and refuse. In this case, wash the baby after a few days to let him erase the memory. Or wrap the newborn in a towel and put it in the water without direct contact with the bath water. Wait until he is calm and then slowly loosen the towel. Or put a small amount of water first, and gradually add water after he gets used to the basin. Bathing newborns every day not only prevents diseases and improves health, but also promotes happy emotions and tactile function training, and is also a form of education.

When bathing your baby, you should choose the time according to the seasonal temperature. If you want to bathe your baby in late autumn, winter, early spring, etc. when the temperature is below 20 degrees Celsius, it is best to do so at noon. And just give him a wash in the morning and evening. Because of the large temperature difference between morning and evening in these seasons, it is not advisable to take off clothes to bathe the baby.

It is best to bathe your baby before going to bed at night, so that the baby can sleep comfortably after the bath, which is conducive to the baby's sleep. If the baby takes a bath in the morning and goes out to play, it is easy to catch a cold and the bath will make the body dirty.

In fact, it is okay to bathe the baby in the morning and evening, depending on how old the child is. If the child is young, then the child's body is generally not too dirty, so you can choose to bathe the child before going to bed at night, so that the child can fall asleep easily. However, if the child is older and often plays by himself, the body will easily breed bacteria when excreting a lot of sweat. At this time, you can bathe the child frequently, once in the morning and evening.
