How to diagnose asthma in children?

Some children may suffer from asthma from a young age. In fact, this has a lot to do with genetics. If you don't pay attention to it in normal times, it will lead to an asthma attack in children. So how can we correctly diagnose childhood asthma? And how to treat this disease in childhood asthma? In response to everyone's questions, the editor has collected some methods to treat and identify childhood asthma. Those in need can follow the editor to learn more.

Asthma is closely related to heredity. If there is a family history or history of allergies, or if the child has an allergic constitution, he or she is prone to asthma. Especially in seasons prone to infection, it is best not to take the child out to avoid encountering allergens that trigger asthma.

Children with asthma are prone to dry cough, wheezing, chest tightness, and gurgling breathing in certain situations, such as climate change or sudden exposure to cold air, at night, or after only 5 to 10 minutes of running or jumping.

If a child who already suffers from respiratory diseases does not experience symptoms after about half a month of conventional treatment, and the symptoms still do not disappear after anti-inflammatory, cough suppressant and other treatments, then it may be asthma.

If a child is found to have wheezing that recurs multiple times, it may be caused by respiratory inflammation; but if wheezing recurs multiple times, it may be related to asthma.

It is not easy to diagnose asthma in young children. Repeated coughing, difficulty breathing and other symptoms do not necessarily indicate asthma. Many asthma symptoms are atypical. For example, coughing without wheezing is very common, and these symptoms are sometimes treated as colds when seeking medical treatment.

In fact, a cold is an upper respiratory tract infection, and its symptoms are mostly fever, nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, muscle aches, weakness and fatigue. The course of the disease is usually 5 to 7 days.

I believe that after reading the editor’s introduction of the method of identifying childhood asthma. Parents should not take their children out during normal times, especially when seasons change, as this may easily cause asthma in children. Always take measures to prevent asthma to avoid being caught off guard when your child develops asthma.
