High-salt foods damage brain cells. Children should eat less of these seven types of food.

The healthy growth of the baby is the wish of every parent, so try to stay away from foods that are harmful to the child's development. So, which foods should children eat less? Let’s find out below.

1. Foods containing aluminum

Medically, it has been confirmed that aluminum is related to dementia in the elderly. Aluminum products can easily dissolve aluminum oxide in food during the cooking process, such as when stir-frying, adding vinegar, soy sauce, wine, pickles, baking powder, milk, or juice, or other improper operations. Over time, the aluminum content in the human body increases, which will not only gradually decline memory and thinking ability, but may even induce dementia.

2. Foods containing lipid peroxides

Lipid peroxides can produce aging pigments that damage brain cells, causing premature brain aging and leading to dementia. It is commonly found in foods that are fried or cooked with oil temperatures exceeding 200 degrees, and in foods that are exposed to the sun for a long time, such as peanuts, dried shrimps, and smoked and cured foods.

3. High-salt foods

Continuous intake of excessive salt and the sodium in it can be harmful to your health. In terms of brain damage, excessive sodium intake can cause brain cells to be ischemic and hypoxic, accelerate aging, and cause dementia. The daily salt intake of each person should be limited to less than 6 grams. The diet should be light and the consumption of foods with excessive salt, such as cured products, salted fish, etc., should be limited.

4. Alcoholic Beverages

According to a research report by foreign scientists, long-term habitual drinking will cause the brain to shrink in size, lose weight, and decline in intelligence. It is recommended that people who are addicted to alcohol should drink in moderation.

5. Acidic Foods

According to research, the acid-base ratio of daily drinking water should be 20:80, but people usually eat too much acidic food, which causes an acid-base imbalance in the body and turns it into an acidic physique, affecting brain function, causing memory loss and poor concentration. The intake of acidic foods such as meat and seafood should be reduced, and the intake of alkaline foods such as vegetables and fruits should be appropriately increased.

6. Seasoning food

In addition to salt, seasonings such as sugar and MSG are also enemies of the brain. Normally, sugar should be digested and broken down into glucose and fructose when it enters the human body. However, if the amount is excessive, it will be difficult for the human body to digest and break down, especially for middle-aged and elderly people who have poor metabolism. Sugar will seep into the blood, destroy brain cells and cells in various parts of the body, and make the body acidic. Therefore, eat less sweets, especially those containing sugar and saccharin, so that your mind will be smarter.

7. High-fat foods

Since the breakdown of fat requires a large amount of blood, it can easily lead to insufficient oxygen to the brain. If you eat it frequently and lack exercise, your brain will gradually become dull due to chronic lack of oxygen.

Excessive intake of high-fat food not only harms children's brain development, but also easily causes childhood obesity.
