Is bronchial asthma in children serious?

Childhood bronchial asthma is a relatively common childhood disease, usually affecting children under the age of twelve. Some patients are congenital and suffer from bronchial asthma from birth. Asthma will have a certain impact on the patient's life. There is currently no effective treatment, and the only way is to reduce the frequency of asthma attacks as much as possible through conditioning. Next, we will introduce the treatment methods for pediatric bronchial asthma.

Compared with previous years, this spring Miss Spring often has a "cold" face and an unstable temper, with the temperature fluctuating unpredictably. Although the temperature is rising, the pace of warming is intermittent and appears erratic. Under such climatic conditions, the content and flow of allergens in the air increase, and children's chances of contact with allergens increase, so childhood asthma enters a peak period. Xiao Mantian, chief physician of the Department of Pediatrics at the Liwan Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College, said that recently there have been many young patients with respiratory diseases such as colds and asthma in the pediatric department, and colds are a common factor in triggering asthma.

Common factors that can trigger asthma in daily life include: dust from dogs, cats or other animals; respiratory viral infections; pollen from trees and flowers; dust; mites or mold; perfumes, paints, sprays or other things with strong odors; smoke from cigarettes and burning objects; weather changes such as sudden drops in temperature or air pressure; air pollution; crying, laughing or shouting; strenuous exercise; aspirin or other drugs, certain foods, etc. According to a survey on childhood asthma allergens over the past decade, the top six allergens that cause asthma in children are: mites, indoor dust, cotton wool, mold, smoke and pollen.

If parents find that their child has asthma, they should check which of the above items may trigger the child's asthma symptoms. Once found out, they should avoid contact, stay away from or control them to achieve the purpose of prevention. Parents are especially reminded not to smoke.

The above article introduces some treatment methods for pediatric bronchial asthma. In addition to these methods, daily care also plays an important role. In daily care, dietary care is very important. Eat a light diet and avoid spicy and irritating foods. In addition, controlling your emotions is also important. Extreme joy, sorrow, excitement, tension and other emotions may cause asthma attacks. So keep your emotions stable.
