What should I do if I get prickly heat in hot weather?

Under the scorching sun, many people develop prickly heat after being exposed to the sun or in long-term heat. Although prickly heat is very common in life, it is a problem that bothers us, especially children, because their skin is more tender and they are more likely to get prickly heat. So what should we do in the face of this problem that bothers us all the time in summer? Let me talk to you about it.

1. Treat prickly heat with salt water: In summer, many people will get prickly heat due to the hot weather. At this time, after taking a shower, you can add some salt to half a bucket of water, then use gauze dipped in salt to pat the area where the prickly heat appears, and finally wash it with warm water. Do this once a day and it will heal quickly.

2. Watermelon rind can cure prickly heat: In fact, the white part has the effect of curing prickly heat. If a child has prickly heat, you can use the white part of the watermelon to gently rub the affected area, which is very effective. Repeat two or three times to stop itching and make your skin clean. It is also recorded in the famous Chinese pharmaceutical book "Compendium of Materia Medica" that watermelon can calm, quench thirst and remove heat.

3. First wash the affected area with warm water, then take equal parts of mung bean powder and talcum powder, mix them evenly, and sprinkle them on the prickly heat several times a day.

4. Wash an appropriate amount of wolfberry stalks and leaves, add water and boil for 1 hour, then wash the affected area after it is warm. Twice a day.

5. 20 grams each of Sophora flavescens and raw rhubarb, 10 grams each of Coptis chinensis, borneol and realgar, and 300 ml of 75% alcohol. Soak the medicine in alcohol. After 3 days, apply the liquid to the affected area several times a day.

6. Add 5 fresh fig leaves to 750 ml of water and boil for 20 minutes. When it is warm (37-40 degrees), apply warm compress to the affected area with a towel dipped in the medicine. After it cools down, add appropriate amount of hot water and use it for bathing. Generally used for 2-3 days.

It is not scary to have prickly heat. There is no need to panic. Just keep the local area clean and avoid staying in a stuffy state for a long time. You can also apply some prickly heat powder. These are all things we need to do in our lives. If it does not get better for a long time, you should go to the hospital in time to avoid other diseases and delay treatment time.
