Is it normal for a child to have a fever of 37 degrees?

As we all know, if the body is relatively healthy, the body temperature will generally be maintained at around 36.5 degrees. Sometimes due to the influence of environmental factors, the body temperature will rise or fall slightly, which is very normal. For a child at home, if you measure his body temperature and the result is 37 degrees, then the question arises: is it normal for a child's temperature to reach 30 degrees?

Is a child's armpit temperature of 37 degrees considered a fever?

A child's armpit temperature of 37 degrees is considered a fever. A temperature between 37 and 38 degrees is considered a low fever. A temperature between 38 and 39 degrees is considered a moderate fever. If it is above 39 degrees, it is considered a high fever. How to take antipyretic medicine for children with fever

1. Many parents give their children antipyretics immediately after finding that their children have a fever. This is a very bad phenomenon.

2. Generally, children can only take antipyretics when their fever reaches 38.5 degrees. Antipyretics generally come in two types: ibuprofen suspension and acetaminophen drops. Only one of these two is needed. Do not use both together.

3. Parents must not think that their children’s fever will go down immediately after taking medicine. Everything has an adaptation process. No matter which antipyretic medicine you take, your baby must wait 6 hours after taking it for the first time before taking it for the second time. Parents must not be impatient for success.

4. Some children will have febrile convulsions when they have a fever, that is, the child's body will twitch and the lips and fingers will turn purple. At this time, parents should not delay the disease and send it to the doctor for treatment in time.

5. When a child has a fever, it is best to use physical cooling methods.

6. If the child is in good spirits when he has a fever, it means that the child does not have a viral fever and will be effectively treated with general antipyretics and physical cooling. However, if the child is in a particularly bad spirits and has no appetite when he has a fever, it may be a viral fever or a bacterial infection fever. In order not to delay the child's condition, it is best to go to the hospital for a blood test.
