What should I do if my child has a sore throat and a fever?

Children have relatively poor resistance, and when the weather changes, they often develop symptoms such as colds, coughs, and tonsillitis. When a child has symptoms of inflammation in his or her body, it often causes a fever. If a child's body temperature is too high, over 40 degrees, it may burn his brain, so parents must pay attention to cooling down the child in time. So, what should you do if your child has a fever due to a sore throat?

In general, prevention should be the priority, and treatment should be secondary:

1. Strengthening physical exercise can enhance children's ability to resist respiratory infections. It is recommended to carry out "three baths" (sun bath, air bath, water bath) exercise. Long-term three-bath exercise can not only enhance the physique of susceptible children, but also have a good effect on all systems of the body. When doing three-bath exercise, we should pay attention to the principles of gradual progress, adapting to local conditions, starting from an early age, and persisting frequently.

2. Pay attention to the "microclimate" in the room and ventilate regularly. If the concentration of harmful substances in the atmosphere exceeds a certain level, the body's resistance will be reduced; prevent passive smoking.

3. Do not overdress or overwrap your child. Wearing too much clothes can weaken children's ability to adapt to changes in external temperature;

4. Reasonably arrange the child's work and rest time to ensure adequate sleep;

5. During the disease season, susceptible children should not go to public places or visit other people.

Treatment:

Generally, if the condition is serious, doctors will use antibiotics for anti-inflammatory treatment. Although this is the fastest and most effective method, antibiotics have problems such as drug resistance, so it is recommended to use traditional Chinese medicine.

If the condition is not serious, there are some auxiliary treatments:

1. Squeeze watermelon or pear juice and drink it.

2. Feed some mung bean and rock sugar water (do not put too much rock sugar).

3. Dandelion Granules Chinese medicine granules are simple and easy to use

4. Appropriate vitamin supplementation can increase immunity.

5. According to my personal experience, buying monk fruit to make tea has good effect, and you can gargle with salt water at ordinary times.

When a child has a fever, parents must pay enough attention to it, but do not abuse antipyretics. As soon as the child is found to have a fever, parents should give the child antipyretics. This is very detrimental to the child's growth and development. If the temperature is below 38.5 degrees, physical cooling methods can be used. If it exceeds this temperature, antipyretic drugs should be taken. The key to treating this disease is anti-inflammatory treatment. Once the inflammation subsides, the fever will also subside.
