Baby scalp peeling treatment

Baby scalp peeling treatment

We all know that newborn babies are usually the most vulnerable to care, because many new parents lack a lot of parenting experience, which leads to being in a hurry when taking care of their children. Some children will have scalp peeling after birth. Some parents think it is dirty and will use their hands to pick off the scalp on the child's head, or use something to remove it. So what is the reason for the peeling of the child's scalp and what should be done?

Children with eczema should pay attention to the following in daily treatment and care:

1. Use less soap as possible and avoid soaps with strong alkalinity. No cosmetics are used except for facial oil suitable for babies.

2. Do not wear chemical fiber or woolen clothes. Wear soft and light-colored cotton cloth. Clothes should be loose and do not cover yourself too much.

3. To avoid infection from scratching the skin, wrap your child's hands loosely with soft cloth when sleeping.

4. For scabs on the scalp, eyebrows and other parts, apply sterilized cooking oil and gently scrub them the next day.

5. When eczema breaks out, do not get vaccinated to avoid adverse reactions.

6. Apply the medicine according to the doctor's instructions and do not use irritating antipruritic drugs. Keep your skin clean to avoid infection.

The main manifestation of eczema is the growth of many red spots or small papules on the skin surface with obvious exudation. If scratched with hands, the skin surface will ulcerate, and yellow liquid will flow out of the ulcerated skin and form scabs. Eczema often occurs on the head and face, such as the forehead, cheeks, top of the head, etc., and may also spread throughout the body. Children with eczema will feel itchy in the affected area, and will become restless and cry constantly, affecting their sleep. If not properly cared for, the affected skin is likely to become infected and fester, forming pustular rash.

Through the above explanation, we find that when there is peeling on the child's head, we should check whether the child has eczema and give the child timely treatment of eczema. Do not pick it with our hands. It is best to wipe the child with warm water and then apply some non-irritating ointment.
