Reasons for decreased appetite in two-month-old babies

In daily life, many mothers have found that many babies always don’t like breast milk. When they are two or three months old, they begin to dislike breast milk. Every time they are fed, the baby will cry constantly, or even resist breast milk. This is very troublesome for mothers, and they don’t know what happened to the child. So what is the reason for the loss of appetite of a two-month-old baby?

Reasons why babies refuse to feed

The nipple is not suitable, such as the nipple on the artificial feeding bottle is too hard, or the suction hole on it is too small, which makes sucking difficult and makes the baby hate sucking.

Disease: When babies suffer from certain diseases, such as digestive tract diseases or swollen cheeks, they will have varying degrees of aversion to sucking.

·Nasal congestion: When a baby has a stuffy nose, he has to breathe through his mouth. If he sucks milk, his breathing will be hindered and he will often stop sucking.

Oral infection: This is because the baby is afraid to suckle due to the pain. The oral mucosa of the baby is tender, the secretion is small, and the mouth is relatively dry. In addition, improper wiping of the mouth and overheated drinks often cause the baby's oral cavity to become infected. After oral infection, sucking milk may cause pain, which may lead to sucking refusal.

Premature babies: Because their bodies are not fully developed yet and their sucking function is low, they often do not suck the nipple or stop sucking after a little bit.

You can add juice to your baby's diet after 4 months.

Infants and young children should not drink synthetic beverages on the market. They should use special baby drinks, or freshly squeezed fruit juice that is diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio before drinking.

You can also make your own vegetable juice and drink it after 2 months.

The method is to wash the fresh vegetables, cut them into small pieces, add water and cook them thoroughly, then take the vegetable juice (just the juice) and drink it. For example, celery juice is effective for constipation, and carrot juice is effective for diarrhea.

In fact, there are many reasons for a two-month-old baby's decreased appetite. For example, the baby's gastrointestinal discomfort, and not choosing a comfortable posture when feeding, may cause the baby to resist. Mothers should pay attention to carefully observe the child's physical manifestations.
