Why do 13-year-old girls have underdeveloped breasts?

Generally, girls start to develop breasts between the ages of 12 and 13 and stop developing between the ages of 15 and 17. Because of individual differences in the human body, genetics and daily nutritional intake, the timing and shape of breast development are also different. However, if a girl reaches the age of puberty, parents must pay attention to observe the child's development, communicate with the child in a timely manner, and go to the hospital in time if any abnormality is found.

The main symptoms of chest hypoplasia are: the chest is flat and has no curve characteristics; the glandular tissue is not very obvious when palpated; if it occurs on one side, the left and right sides are asymmetrical; it may be accompanied by hypoplasia or absence of the pectoralis major muscle on the same side. The common clinical causes that affect development are mainly the following types:

Reason 1. Insufficient secretion of female sex hormones

Insufficient secretion of female sex hormones directly affects the growth and development of mammary ducts and the branching of the mammary gland terminals, which can lead to poor development of small mammary lobes and alveoli, thereby affecting breast development.

Reason 2. Poor puberty

Malnutrition during adolescence caused by various reasons affects and hinders the normal development of breasts.

Cause 3. Endocrine disorders during puberty

Lack of sexual knowledge and sense of shame among adolescent girls can lead to psychological disorders, causing endocrine disorders and affecting normal breast development.

Reason 4. Breast Binding

Binding the chest due to psychological barriers or wearing a bra that is too tight can easily cause breast hypoplasia.

Reason 5. Lack of physical exercise

Due to long-term lack of moderate physical exercise, the chest muscles are underdeveloped.

Some thirteen-year-old girls have poor breast development due to genetics, some may suffer from a congenital disease, or it may be caused by malnutrition. Therefore, parents must pay attention to nutrition during their children's puberty to avoid poor breast development. At the same time, they must help their children wear underwear correctly. Too tight underwear will have a certain impact on the breasts or nipples.
