What should I pay attention to if my baby always kicks the quilt at night?

Nowadays, every family has only one child. For the child, it is really caring. The family is busy every day for the child. They are either worried that the child is afraid of being cold or worried that the child is not full. Some mothers worry that the child will catch a cold at night, so they choose to cover the child with a particularly thick quilt, but it often causes the baby to kick the quilt at night. Why do children always kick the quilt and what should we pay attention to in life?

First of all, don’t cover yourself with too thick a quilt when sleeping, wear as little clothes as possible, and don’t use clothes instead of a quilt. Otherwise, it will be difficult for the body to dissipate excess heat, and the child will feel hot and uncomfortable and sweat a lot. How can he sleep well? He will have to take "action" to kick away the quilt. There are many kinds of clothing materials at present. Some parents like to use chemical fiber fabrics to make clothes for their children. This is unscientific because chemical fiber clothing has poor air permeability and is not conducive to the body's heat dissipation. We advocate using soft, breathable and moisture-absorbent cotton fabrics to make clothes for babies, and quilts should also be light but not thick.

Secondly, don't tease your baby too much before going to bed, don't scare your baby, don't tell scary stories, don't watch thrilling movies or TV, and don't play too hard during the day. Otherwise, after the baby falls asleep, some areas of the cerebral cortex remain excited, making it very easy for the baby to kick off the quilt, talk in his sleep, and other sleep disturbances.

Secondly, develop a good sleeping posture. Do not cover the head and face with a blanket, do not place the hands on the chest, and it is best to let the baby sleep on the right side.

In addition, some diseases, such as pinworm disease, can also cause children to kick off their quilts and have restless sleep. Because pinworms like to be active at night, when children fall asleep, the anal sphincter relaxes, and the pinworms crawl out of the anus and lay eggs around the perineum and anus. Due to the stimulation of pinworms crawling, children may feel an itchy anus, and often scratch it with their hands in a daze. Some children even kick the quilt and cry loudly. Parents may wish to observe carefully around the anus of their children. If they find small worms crawling like a small piece of cotton yarn, they are pinworms and should seek medical treatment from a doctor.

In fact, it is common for babies to kick the quilt at night. Don’t tease the child excessively before going to bed, and don’t tell the child horror stories. This will cause the child to become psychologically frightened, and he will inevitably have nightmares about giving birth, and kicking the quilt is inevitable.
