What causes blisters on children's bodies?

The skin of infants and young children is delicate. Because their body immunity is low and their skin resistance is relatively poor, they are easily invaded by external bacteria and viruses, resulting in a series of skin diseases, blisters being one of them. Many parents of young children have reported that blisters have appeared on their children's bodies, causing them to experience symptoms such as itchy skin, depression, crying for no reason, and loss of appetite, which has affected their normal physical development.

First of all, the blisters may be a type of eczema. Infant eczema is one of the more common diseases in pediatrics, and it is more common on the face, trunk, and joint folds.

Treatment:

First use warm salt water (one teaspoon of salt in one bowl of warm water) and wipe the eczema area with gauze;

After it dries, apply "Baby Eczema Cream". For more serious cases (such as those with purulent spots), you can use "Bactroban Ointment" (apply as above) twice a day; after application, keep it on the skin for 60-90 minutes, then wipe it clean with saline;.

Secondly, we need to consider whether the baby’s condition is vesicular rash. Symptoms of vesicular rash: blisters with a thin layer of skin will appear, spread when touched, no fever, and the blisters will burst easily. When blisters burst, the fluid inside can become infected and expand the area, so the rupture should be wiped clean immediately. It is recommended that you take your baby to the hospital's dermatology department for examination to identify the cause and provide symptomatic treatment. If your baby loves to suck on the nipple, you can try giving him a pacifier.

The cause of the disease is a mixed infection of staphylococci and streptococci, which is highly contagious. It is not only through contact with children suffering from vesicular rash that the disease can be transmitted, but even the clothes, bedding, toys, pencils, etc. worn by the children can be transmitted. The general incubation period is 2 to 5 days.

The streptococci that cause vesicular rash can also cause nephritis and must be treated thoroughly.

If your child is found to have vesicular rash at home, you should stop applying medicine directly to the affected area. You should take it to see a doctor, who has simple and easy treatments. Penicillin is the most effective.

When blisters appear on a child's body, parents should pay attention to keeping the child's skin dry. When pus flows out, the wound should be cleaned in time to avoid infecting other healthy skin. If the symptoms still do not subside after emergency treatment, the child's parents should take the child to the hospital for treatment in time.
