6. Increased breathing and chest retraction (chest retraction refers to the depression of the lower part of the chest wall when the child inhales. This is due to the poor elasticity of the lung tissue and the difficulty in inhaling. If only the soft tissue between the ribs or above the clavicle collapses during inhalation, it is not chest retraction). Children with this symptom have already developed obvious breathing difficulties and may have severe pneumonia.

If the child only has coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, and a fever not exceeding 39.5℃, and the child is in good spirits and his breathing is not significantly faster, parents can use diet therapy and massage to help the child relieve the symptoms of a cold.
