What are the precautions for children to use nebulizer?

Nebulizer therapy refers to a treatment method that breaks down drugs into small particles for people to breathe as medicine. It is mainly used to treat symptoms such as cough, respiratory tract infection, and lung infection. The advantages of nebulizer therapy are that large doses can be given continuously and multiple times, it is convenient, and does not require too much cooperation from the patient. But there are also many precautions for children's nebulization.

Note:

1. For those who use mask inhalation, wash your face before inhalation and avoid using oily facial creams; avoid the drug from entering the eyes.

2. Clean your mouth before inhalation to remove oral secretions and food residues. Rinse your mouth after inhalation to prevent drug accumulation in the throat.

3. It is best to take the medicine in a quiet state. And teach patients to take deep breaths to increase chest mobility and lung capacity. For crying children, nebulization treatment can be adopted after sleep, which is more conducive to nebulization inhalation.

4. Take a comfortable position for inhalation treatment. The sputum dilution after atomization will stimulate the patient to cough. The patient should be turned over and patted on the back in time to assist in expectoration and keep the airway open.

5. When patients with impaired autoimmune function use nebulizer inhalation, attention should be paid to the problem of inducing oral fungal infection. People with impaired heart and kidney function and the elderly should be careful to prevent pulmonary edema caused by humidification or large amounts of fog.

6. During nebulization treatment, encourage the patient to breathe normally and take deep breaths intermittently.

7. Observe the patient's complexion and breathing during nebulization treatment.

8. To avoid adverse reactions when inhaling nebulized drugs, especially when inhaling glucocorticoids, be careful not to allow the drug to enter the eyes and rinse your mouth after inhalation.

9. Ultrasonic nebulization should not be used for nebulization therapy of protein or peptide drugs, nor should it be used for suspensions.

10. During oxygen atomization inhalation, fireworks and flammable items are strictly prohibited.
