What causes newborn baby's stomach pain?

Abdominal pain is one of the most common symptoms in newborns. Generally speaking, stomachache in newborns is related to breastfeeding. The intestines of newborns are not fully developed shortly after birth, and their digestive ability is poor, so they are prone to stomachache. However, parents should still send their children to the hospital for examination in time to avoid making wrong judgments and delaying the treatment. The symptoms of abdominal pain in different areas are different:

1. Pain in the middle of the upper abdomen: mostly caused by peptic ulcer, acute and chronic gastritis, acute pancreatitis, pleurisy, lobar pneumonia,

Biliary ascariasis, etc.

2. Right upper abdominal pain: mostly caused by hepatitis, cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, intestinal ascariasis, and biliary ascariasis.

3. Left upper abdominal pain: mostly caused by spleen trauma, etc.

4. Pain around the umbilicus: mostly caused by intestinal ascariasis, intestinal spasm, acute and chronic enteritis, allergic purpura, etc.

5. Pain in the right lower abdomen: mostly caused by acute appendicitis, mesenteric lymphadenitis, intestinal tuberculosis, etc.

6. Pain in the left lower abdomen: mostly caused by dysentery, fecal blockage, sigmoid colon torsion, etc.

7. Umbilical pain: mostly caused by pyelonephritis, ureteral stones, etc.

In addition, children often experience abdominal pain when they have a cold, which is a characteristic of children's colds. Abdominal pain often occurs in the early stages.

The pain can be mild or severe, usually around the navel or in the right lower abdomen, and can be paroxysmal or continuous, with no obvious tenderness.

When your baby has a stomachache, parents should not be too nervous. Once you feel that you can't solve it, the best way is to take your baby to the hospital as soon as possible.

Newborn stomach pain also has a great impact on the child's health. If it is not treated in time, it is likely to cause serious consequences. Therefore, parents should give their babies more fruits and foods that are beneficial to intestinal digestion to prevent constipation. When a newborn has severe abdominal pain, he or she must be sent to the hospital immediately for a detailed examination to avoid delaying treatment.
