When do children need circumcision?

When do children need circumcision?

The following summarizes three situations in which children need circumcision. If the foreskin is inflamed, the foreskin must be cut, which is good for the body and the future partner. Another situation is that the foreskin opening is narrow, urination is difficult, and inflammation will cause discomfort to the child, so you must see a doctor for the right medicine. If the child has reached the age for circumcision, you can consider surgery.

1. Clamp the foreskin

Under what circumstances do children need circumcision? There is a type of foreskin called "clamped foreskin", which means that after the foreskin retracts to the coronal sulcus, it cannot return to its normal position and is fixed, resulting in poor venous blood flow and edema, and the child feels severe pain in the glans. Sometimes parents discover the problem early and can use lubricants to push the foreskin back to its normal position. However, if the problem is discovered late and the condition is serious, circumcision may be necessary.

2. The foreskin is prone to inflammation

If a baby boy's foreskin is too long or too tight, it is often difficult to clean and may even cause inflammation, which will have an adverse effect on the baby's health. Although the infection is not serious, it is prone to recurrence and can cause long-term effects if it is not cured through circumcision. Therefore, in this case, children also need to be circumcised.

3. Narrow foreskin opening

Children with a narrow foreskin opening need to be circumcised. If the foreskin is often inflamed, it will cause adhesion at the foreskin opening and lead to stenosis. Stenosis may be congenital or caused by long-term inflammation. The symptom is that the foreskin swells like a balloon during urination, and the urine inside slowly comes out after urination, sometimes accompanied by difficulty or pain in urination.

As mentioned above, I hope to give you some advice. If a child shows the above conditions, he or she should go to the hospital for treatment. Circumcision can prevent infection and urination will not occur. The foreskin can also play a protective role. When children are young, they will inevitably fall and other things. The foreskin can protect the boy's genitals. When they reach a certain age, they can choose to have the foreskin removed.
