Causes of neonatal telangiectasia

Causes of neonatal telangiectasia

Every child is a gift from God to mom and dad. The child is the treasure of the family. Parents hold the child in their hands for fear of dropping it, and hold it in their mouths for fear of melting it. For parents, the child is their lifeblood. If the child feels a little uncomfortable, parents will worry about it all day long. So, what causes capillary dilation in neonates? Let me introduce it to you below.

Telangiectasia is also a common vascular disease, which occurs more frequently in newborns. Most of the time, telangiectasia occurs on the patient's face, but sometimes it can also occur in any other part of the body. If you suffer from capillary dilation, which is commonly known as red blood streaks.

Causes of neonatal telangiectasia

1. Internal factors:

1. Gene mutation theory: Since capillary dilation is already formed when the baby is born, many experts believe that the formation of hemangioma is related to genetic genes. There is a gene on chromosome 5q that inhibits angiogenesis. Loss of heterozygosity (LOH) of the gene will lead to its mutation, causing abnormal proliferation of vascular endothelium and thus forming capillary dilation.

2. Endothelial progenitor cell theory: According to the organization of hemangioma, the existence of endothelial progenitor cells is the fundamental reason for the rapid proliferation of capillary dilation. The endothelial cells of capillary dilation may originate from the placental endothelium. The placental endothelial cells can enter the fetal blood circulation through the chorionic villi, clone and proliferate in the fetus, and form capillary dilation.

3. Soluble cytokine theory: the formation of capillary dilation is mainly caused by abnormal differentiation of endothelial cells. The occurrence of capillary dilation is due to the local secretion of a soluble factor, which causes abnormal proliferation of endothelium, rather than changes in the phenotype of the cells themselves. However, this soluble cytokine has not yet been identified, and further research is needed to determine the cause of this formation.

2. External factors:

1. Due to the long-term improper use of corticosteroids on the local skin, the capillaries are dilated, causing the local skin of the patient to become thinner and atrophy.

2. The blood circulation in some blood vessels is blocked, which causes congestion in the blood vessel walls and bloodshot lines appear on the face. The skin itself is sensitive to external stimuli, which causes the blood vessels to tighten and loosen, resulting in repeated congestion and tortuous dilation of the blood vessels.

3. Misuse of some skin care products containing hormones or drug ingredients will make the local skin stratum corneum thinner and more transparent, which is easy to form.

The above are the causes of capillary dilation in newborns. After the above analysis, everyone has a certain understanding of this. If parents find that their children have this symptom, they should take their children for examination in time. If it is serious, they need to receive treatment.
