Child's eye bleeding

Child's eye bleeding

Many children will encounter some accidents in their lives. If parents find that their child's eyes are bleeding, they must take the child to the hospital for treatment in time. Because this is most likely caused by impact on the blood vessels in the eye, resulting in bleeding, which requires treatment to recover. Parents cannot handle this situation on their own. However, for some children with bloodshot eyes, parents can help them deal with it.

1. Eye drops

For those with bacterial infection factors, antibiotic eye drops can be used 3 to 4 times a day. For non-infectious factors, it should not be abused, let alone routinely used as a placebo.

You can try corticosteroid eye drops, but not for a long time, and the intraocular pressure should be monitored.

2. Wash your eyes

Once your eyes become bloodshot, quickly soak them in clean water and blink gently to wash your eyeballs. Please note that the eyeball is very fragile. Make sure the water is clean and there are no impurities in the room that will aggravate the congestion.

3. Massage the eyes

You can also use acupressure massage to promote blood circulation around the eyes to eliminate eye congestion. Staring directly at the TV or computer screen for too long will cause eye congestion and fatigue. At this time, you can press the Zanzhu point to improve the situation.

By massaging and stimulating some acupoints around the eyes, such as Jingming, Yuyao, etc., you can also improve blood circulation and eliminate eye congestion.

4. Take more rest

We are human beings, not machines. Besides, even machines need to rest before they can continue working. If they are allowed to work at overload, their service life will be shortened at best, and they will be scrapped on the spot at worst. Similarly, for us humans, only sufficient rest can restore our tired bodies and allow us to continue to work better. If we overuse our eyes and do not take a rest, it may lead to vision loss at the very least and blindness at the worst.

5. Apply to eyes

When bleeding occurs in our eyes, we can apply cold compresses to the eyes for the first two days to shrink the dilated blood vessels in the eyes. On the third day, we can switch to hot compresses to promote the dispersion of excess blood stasis. When applying the towel, do not apply cold or hot compress at once. Put the towel on your eyes little by little to give your eyes some time to adapt to prevent the blood vessels in the eyes from suddenly contracting and dilating and bursting.

6. Ensure a nutritious diet

When we need to use our eyes a lot, in addition to proper rest, we must also ensure nutritional supplements, which can effectively prevent eye bleeding. Normally, we can eat more foods rich in vitamin A, carotene and vitamin B2; at the same time, we can choose foods high in phospholipids to improve brain health, such as egg yolks, fish, shrimps, walnuts, peanuts, etc. We should also consciously choose more foods that protect the eyes, such as eggs, animal liver, kidneys, carrots, spinach, millet, cabbage, tomatoes, day lily, water spinach, and wolfberries. Ensure eye nutrition.

7. Take appropriate medications

In addition to the above measures, we must take medication. Although mild eye bleeding can recover on its own in three to five days, in order to prevent the condition from worsening and get better faster, we should also take appropriate medications and eye drops under the correct guidance of a doctor. This is good for our health.
