How long is the shelf life of diapers?

In order to make it more convenient for parents and to provide a more comfortable environment for babies, using diapers has become a new fashion, especially at night. It seems that every child needs to use diapers. The diapers used for boys and girls are also different, but diapers also have a certain shelf life. Let us find out how long the shelf life is.

The shelf life of diapers is generally 3 years, which depends on the diapers used. Each package of diapers is printed with a use-before-a-certain-date. It is recommended that mothers purchase relatively "fresh" diapers through regular channels and beware of counterfeit and shoddy products that may harm the baby's health. In addition, it is best to use up diapers within 2 to 3 months after opening. If they are in a humid environment, they need to be used up as soon as possible, generally within one month, as bacteria will grow over time. If it has been opened for some time, it is best to expose it to the sun before use to facilitate disinfection.

It is recommended that mothers do not stock up many boxes of diapers at once when buying diapers. Different brands of diapers may have some differences in size, etc. After buying small packages for their babies, if mothers find that they are very suitable for their babies, they only need to buy enough for their babies for 1-2 months.

In addition to proper storage, whether the baby diapers are purchased correctly is related to the baby's health. There are four principles for purchasing baby diapers, namely:

Trial principle: Before deciding which diaper is suitable for your baby, it is best to try a small package first, and evaluate it in terms of comfort, breathability, water absorption, side leakage, and size.

Economic principle: Although a higher price is better, it is not necessary to use price as the sole criterion. Cloth diapers are actually not bad. As long as you take proper care of them and pay more attention, you won’t have problems such as diaper rash.

Principle of timeliness: First, choose diapers of appropriate size and tightness according to the baby's growth, and do not store too many of the same model. The second is to make appropriate adjustments according to different seasons. For example, in summer, you should choose soft, light and breathable clothes, and you can use pull-up pants when going out.

Individualization principle: Every baby's physical development is different, and mothers should make timely adjustments based on their children's specific circumstances. For babies with thick and fat thighs, it is best to choose diapers of a larger size. For active babies, they should choose diapers with a raised waist, elastic waist and side edges, and pay special attention to the crotch area not being too wide. For babies whose umbilical cord has not fallen off yet, you can choose diapers with a notch at the navel or with an umbilical cord protector.

During use, the diapers must be used within the shelf life. If they exceed the shelf life, they may have a certain impact on the baby's skin and the baby's physical development. Therefore, when parents buy diapers for their babies, they must check the production date and shelf life to ensure the baby's normal development.
