Treatment measures for eczema in one month old baby

We all know that newborn babies are weak and prone to illness, such as eczema. Eczema is a common skin disease in infants. Many mothers are troubled by eczema and worry that blindly taking medication will cause greater physical burden on their babies. Next, I will tell you some relevant knowledge about eczema in babies of one month old, including treatment measures. I hope it will be helpful to all mothers.

Infant eczema is a common skin disease in infancy. It is an allergic disease. The exact cause is sometimes difficult to find. Infant eczema is usually called "milk ringworm". If drugs for treating "ringworm" are used to treat infant eczema, the condition will worsen.

Infant eczema is first seen in infants aged 2-3 months, mostly on the cheeks, forehead, between the eyebrows and head, and in severe cases on the trunk and limbs. It is initially erythematous, followed by small dot-like papules and blisters, which are very itchy. When the blisters are broken, exudate flows out, and scabs are formed after drying. The skin lesions are often distributed symmetrically. Eczema is sometimes dry, that is, there is a small amount of grayish white bran skin peeling on the small papules. It can also be seborrheic, with light yellowish oily liquid oozing out of the small maculopapules, which later form scabs. It is more common on the top of the head, between the eyebrows, beside the nose, and behind the ears, but the itching is not too obvious.

Prevention of baby eczema

Prevention of infant eczema is very important. Children should wear soft and loose cotton or fine fabrics for underwear, not chemical fiber fabrics. Woolen fabrics and woolen clothes are not allowed for both inner and outer clothes. It is best to wear cotton jackets, cotton-padded jackets, flannel shirts, etc. Pay close attention to the digestive status of the child and whether he is allergic to milk, eggs, fish, shrimp and other foods. If the mother is breastfeeding, she should avoid eating such foods that are prone to allergies.

Children should avoid stimulation from alkaline soaps, cosmetics or perfumes. Do not receive BCG or other vaccinations during the onset of the disease. Avoid contact with patients with herpes simplex (commonly known as "fever sores") to prevent the occurrence of herpetic eczema.

After getting baby eczema, the following treatment measures should be taken:

1. The general treatment principle is: find out the cause, treat the symptoms, feed reasonably, and provide careful care. Generally speaking, you should first observe whether there are any food allergies, especially allergies to animal proteins such as milk, breast milk or egg white;

2. Commonly used internal medicines include diphenhydramine syrup, vitamin B complex, vitamin C, etc. Antibiotics should be added when there is secondary infection.

3. The topical medication depends on the state of skin lesions. When there is water erosion or redness and swelling, use 2% boric acid aqueous solution or 0.1 radon aqueous solution for wet compress. After the exudate and erosion disappear, use topical corticosteroid hormone preparations, such as eczema cream, dehumidifying oil, skin relaxing cream, etc.

The problem of baby eczema troubles many parents, so the editor hopes that the knowledge about eczema in one-month-old babies that I will talk about today will be helpful to all parents. Please take a look. I also hope that every baby can have a healthy body and grow up happily.
