Causes of black teeth in children

Causes of black teeth in children

Everyone knows that teeth are very important to us. Some people did not pay attention to their teeth when they were young, which resulted in bad teeth when they were old, and they regretted it. We need to protect our teeth at all times. Generally speaking, we should brush our teeth twice a day, morning and evening, and avoid eating hard foods, as these are not good for the health of our teeth. Today I would like to introduce you to children's orthodontics.

Generally speaking, orthodontic correction is required when the following seven common types of tooth irregularities occur:

※The teeth are crowded, the canines protrude (tiger teeth), the dental arch does not match the size of the teeth, and the lack of space leads to overlapping and crowded teeth. In the mandible, the second premolars are the last to erupt and are crowded to the lingual side.

※The gap between teeth is caused by the inability of the dental arch to match the size of the teeth. When the teeth are too small and the dental arch is too large, the teeth will be sparsely arranged and have gaps.

※Buck teeth can be divided into dental and skeletal types. Most of them can be treated with traditional orthodontic treatment. However, patients with severe buck teeth need oral surgery to achieve the ideal appearance and bite function.

※Open bite The maxillary front teeth and the mandibular front teeth should be able to close together, and the normal vertical overlap is 2mm. If the upper and lower front teeth cannot bite together, it is an open bite, which will cause the upper and lower front teeth to be unable to cut food, saliva to leak when speaking, and the mouth cannot be closed tightly.

※ Crossbite is also known as opposed bite, that is, the mandibular front teeth bite the outside of the maxillary front teeth, commonly known as overbite. In addition to aesthetic problems, it will cause functional disorders such as chewing and pronunciation. If the crossbite is caused by bony jaw abnormalities, orthognathic surgery is often required for treatment.

※Tilted teeth Long-term tooth defects can cause adjacent teeth to tilt or the other teeth to grow, making it difficult to make dentures. At this time, it is necessary to use orthodontic methods to straighten the tilted teeth so that the roots have a good degree of parallelism to facilitate denture reconstruction. ※ Abnormal facial and jaw development will cause facial asymmetry, which requires combined tooth correction and orthognathic surgery. After the jaw relationship is adjusted to a normal position, the teeth can be arranged on the correct jaw to restore beauty and function.

Removable braces: They are generally used to correct relatively simple malocclusions and deformities during the deciduous and replacement dentition periods, or can be used in conjunction with fixed braces. Patients can put it on and take it off by themselves.

Fixed braces: the most commonly used braces. Patients cannot take it off by themselves.

Functional appliances: They are mainly used for children who are in the period of tooth replacement or have just replaced their teeth and are still in the peak period of growth and development. Functional appliances can correct bone malocclusions and deformities.

Orthognathic surgery: When severe dentofacial deformities, such as maxillary protrusion, maxillary retrognathic, mandibular protrusion, and mandibular retrognathic, cannot be solved by simple correction, a combined correction method of surgery and orthodontics is required.

The above is the method of correction for children's teeth that we introduced to you. This also reminds you from the side that protecting teeth should start from an early age. Pay attention to brushing your teeth regularly and remember to rinse your mouth after eating sweets. Our teeth are our own. If our teeth are not good, it will definitely affect our normal life. I hope everyone will pay attention to this.
