Why does the baby cry at night?

Why does the baby cry at night?

Every child is the hope of the family. So every parent hopes to do their best to give them the best love. But children cannot speak or express themselves, so when they are uncomfortable, they can only express their feelings by crying. However, many parents cannot understand why babies cry at night, for example.

Baby eats too much

Improper feeding is one of the reasons why children do not sleep well. Some parents are always worried that their babies are not full, so they feed their babies too much food before going to bed, which causes the baby's intestines to be overburdened, causing symptoms of indigestion and restless sleep at night. If you have abdominal pain, you may also experience bouts of crying and restlessness. Or these bad habits of sleeping with a pacifier in the mouth at night may lead to unstable sleep.

Babies should be fed solid foods such as porridge and noodles two or three hours before going to bed, and a little milk one hour before going to bed. As the baby grows older, he no longer needs to eat at night, and all his organs will be fully relaxed, so he will sleep more soundly.

Some children play too excitedly before going to bed, and most children will fall asleep naturally after waking up for a few minutes at night. If he can't fall asleep naturally, patting and comforting him will help him fall asleep again. It is recommended that parents do not hug their baby immediately, let alone tease him.

Sleeping comfort is also an important factor. Is the diaper wrapped tightly? Are the clothes wrapped too tightly? Is the quilt too hard? These factors can also cause your baby to sleep restlessly. When the baby cries at night, parents can check the baby's diaper first. In addition, when the baby feels the urge to urinate at night, he will be scared and cry, but will fall asleep naturally after urinating.

The baby does not feel safe

Most children have a strong sense of dependence on their parents. Babies will sometimes turn over and sit up shortly after falling asleep or before they really wake up, and cry when they can't see adults. Generally, they can continue to sleep after being comforted by their parents. This is a manifestation of dependence. If you sleep in an unfamiliar environment, this need for security is particularly urgent.

Emotions are also the reason why babies cry and are restless. For example, if parents neglect emotional communication and comfort with their babies, the babies will not be able to gain a sufficient sense of security, which may also cause long-term poor sleep and affect the development of the baby's personality and temperament. Some babies have been frightened, abused, etc., and will not sleep well at night.

As for why the baby cries at night, there may be various conditions in the baby, some of which are pathological, and some of which are due to the baby's lack of a certain sense of security. As parents, when you find that the baby has such a condition, you must take corresponding measures. The baby is just born, his body is relatively weak, and he lacks a sense of security, so you need to hug him.
