What causes children to cry at night?

Many parents are first-time parents and are not doctors. They have not read any books about children’s physical conditions, so they are at a loss when their children cry, especially at night. They don’t know why they are crying. Let me tell you why children cry at night.

Maybe the baby is sick.

Babies are young and their body's compensatory ability is poor, so various diseases will have varying degrees of impact on the baby's sleep. Common baby diseases such as colds, bronchitis, pneumonia, otitis media, gastroenteritis, and rare diseases such as meningitis and sepsis can cause babies to sleep restlessly. This requires parents to have good patience and observation skills to detect abnormal conditions of the baby and seek help from a doctor. As babies grow, they will inevitably fall, bump their heads, get burns, scalds, etc., and various itches will cause physical pain to the baby, which may naturally affect their sleep.

Unstable sleep of babies is an indicator of universal significance, which can represent too many meanings. Serious diseases such as severe jaundice, intracranial hemorrhage, hydrocephalus, etc. can induce sleep problems.

Parents can usually find abnormalities if they observe carefully. For example, the most common symptoms of epilepsy are convulsions or limb shaking, which may also be accompanied by other more serious symptoms such as developmental delay, convulsions, and deafness. Parents can also see signs of illness in their baby's unstable sleep and seek medical attention early.

It is common for children to cry at night. However, it has become a problem that troubles many parents. This problem has now been solved. After we know the reason, we can easily solve various problems. Of course, a baby’s illness may not necessarily be due to pathological reasons, it may also be due to the baby’s own psychological fear.
