How to carry out neonatal rehabilitation training

How to carry out neonatal rehabilitation training

After a newborn is born, it is the most important stage of brain development. At this time, if there is cerebral palsy, the impact and harm to them will be very serious. Therefore, for parents, the only way to reduce the impact and harm to the newborn is to discover the disease as soon as possible and take rehabilitation treatment as soon as possible. Next, we will take a closer look at the rehabilitation training for newborns with cerebral palsy.

The first 6 months after birth is an important stage of brain development. The brain damage of children with cerebral palsy is in the early stages at this time, and abnormal postures and movements have not yet been fixed. They are highly reversible, and movement disorders are easier to recover after treatment. The training of children with cerebral palsy will not produce results in just a few times or a few days. It must be persistent and last for many years.

1. Head control

The prone position can be used to train the ability to lift the head. The method is: let the child lie on his stomach, hold a toy at the same height as his eyes, and lift it up little by little to make the child look up at it. Lie prone for at least 30 minutes a day, preferably about 10 minutes after a meal.

2. How to turn over and crawl

Let the child lie on the floor, pull his clothes from behind to help him turn his shoulders and turn over; let him lie on his stomach, put a bath towel on his chest, lift up both ends of the bath towel, keep his hands and knees on the ground, and move slowly along the floor with him while encouraging him; one person helps him move his arms, and the other helps to move his feet alternately, and help him crawl towards a certain goal.

3. Sit with your back supported

Sit up with the support of your arms, place your baby's favorite items in front of him to attract his attention, and help him maintain a sitting position for a longer period of time. Gradually reduce support, and finally sit alone.

4. Pulling to stand up

Adults can pull one hand of the child with cerebral palsy to induce him to move from a seated position to a double-legged position, and then let him stand up. When the child holds on to the crib rails, the parents put their hands under his arms to support him to stand, gradually reducing the amount of help and allowing him to maintain his balance by himself.

5. Walking

The key for children with cerebral palsy to learn to walk is to learn to move the center of gravity of the body, start by pulling both hands forward, gradually move to pulling one hand, and finally walk independently; they can also use a walking sling.

The above is an introduction to the rehabilitation training for cerebral palsy in newborns. I hope that parents can pay more attention to these common sense. We know that cerebral palsy has serious impact and harm on newborns. If we do not pay attention to timely detection and timely treatment, it will also be a great harm to his future growth.
