2. Rash stage: detoxification, dehumidification, clearing qi and cooling the body

① Ordinary children

The main clinical manifestations are: fever, scattered herpes on the oral mucosa, maculopapular rashes and herpes on the hands, feet and buttocks, with redness around the herpes, accompanied by sore throat, drooling, fatigue, poor appetite, constipation, pale red or red tongue, greasy tongue coating, rapid pulse, and red and purple fingerprints.

Treatment method: Clear away heat, detoxify, eliminate dampness and expel evil.

Reference prescription: honeysuckle, wild chrysanthemum, coptis root, gypsum (first), anemarrhena, lithospermum officinale, Imperata root, Artemisia annua, Patchouli, and raw licorice. The dosage of the medicine should be determined according to the age, weight, and condition of the child.

Usage: decoct in water and take orally in 3-4 doses, or by enema or rectal drip.

Addition and subtraction:

1. For high fever, shaking, and easy fright, take antelope horn powder;

2. For constipation, add raw rhubarb;

3. For sore throat, add Radix Glycyrrhizae and Radix Isatidis;

4. For cough, add almonds and roasted loquat leaves.

Chinese patent medicine: Lanqin oral liquid, Xiaoer Chiqiao granules, Qingkailing oral liquid, Huangzhihua oral liquid, Jinlian effervescent tablets. You can also use Yanhuning injection, Tanreqing injection, etc.

② Severely ill children

1) The main clinical manifestations are: persistent high fever, little sweating, poor rash, drowsiness and easy startle, vomiting, muscle twitching, or limb weakness and weakness, or even drowsiness, etc., red tongue, thick and greasy tongue coating, weak and rapid pulse, and dark purple fingerprints.

Treatment method: Clear away heat and dispel wind.

Reference prescription: raw gypsum, raw rhubarb, gardenia, talc (wrapped and decocted), cold water stone, cinnamon twig, raw dragon bone, raw oyster, red ochre, earthworm, scorpion, antelope horn powder (taken with water). The dosage of the medicine should be determined according to the age, weight, and condition of the child.

Usage: decoction in water and take orally in 3 to 4 doses, or by enema or rectal drip.

Chinese patent medicine: Zixuedan or Xinxuedan, etc., Yanhuning injection, Tanreqing injection, etc. can also be used.

2) The main clinical manifestations are: fever, shortness of breath, pale and dull complexion, cyanotic lips, cold limbs, cold sweats, or vomiting white, pink or bloody foamy fluid (sputum) from the mouth, dark purple tongue, thin or slow pulse, or weak pulse.

Treatment: Restoring Yang and Rescuing the Counterattack

Reference prescription: ginseng, cooked aconite, cornus fruit, calcined dragon bone, calcined oyster. The dosage of the medicine is determined according to the child's age, weight, condition, etc.

Usage: concentrated decoction for nasogastric feeding or rectal drip.

3. Recovery phase: replenishing qi and nourishing yin

Chinese patent medicine can be used, such as Shengmai Yin oral liquid.

2. Prevention plan for hand, foot and mouth disease with Chinese medicine
