Symptoms of hemangioma in children

Symptoms of hemangioma in children:

1. Capillary hemangioma: It mostly occurs in the anal canal or perianal skin, also known as "port wine stain", is painless, has clear boundaries, and generally has no capsule or lumen. There are large areas of mature, closely-arranged capillaries in the tumor, with thin walls, a layer of endothelial cells and basement membrane, and no smooth muscle cells.

2. Cavernous hemangioma: It is common, soft like a sponge, fades or shrinks when pressed, and has large blood vessels with thin walls and flat shape. This type is divided into 3 types: (1) Multiple venous dilatation type. It is composed of many discrete small tumors with a diameter not exceeding 1 cm. (2) Simple polyp type. They are large in size, protrude into the intestinal cavity, and often present with symptoms of ulcers, bleeding, and rectal obstruction. (3) Disseminated expansion type. It often occurs in the rectum, some are single, some are multiple, and the sizes and shapes vary, often invading the 20~30cm intestinal segment. Symptoms are severe when they occur in childhood. This type of microscope shows blood vessels with thin walls, anastomosing to each other, different lumens sizes, and irregular shapes, which are mostly found in the submucosal layer.

3. Racemose hemangioma: It is composed of large-caliber, thin-walled, and tortuous blood vessels, which may be veins or arteries, and there is arteriovenous dysfunction, and focal myxomatous changes are often present locally.

After understanding the symptoms of hemangioma in children, parents should take their children to the hospital for examination in time if their children show these symptoms, so that the disease can be treated as soon as possible.
