2-year-old boy's height and weight

1. Height

Height, length and weight are the most important indicators to measure children's physical development. Height is the sum of the length of the head, neck, spine and lower limbs, and can reflect the state of physical development.

The normal height of a newborn is about 50 cm, and the height growth is fastest within the first year after birth. At 1 year old, the height is about 75 cm; at 2 years old, it reaches 85 cm. After the age of 2, the trunk grows about 5 cm each year.

Therefore, after the age of 2, the following formula can be used for calculation: height = age X5 + 75 cm.

2. Weight

Weight is the most easily obtained indicator of physical development and nutritional status, and the rate of weight gain is related to age. A newborn weighs about 3000 grams at birth. The average weight gain in the first six months after birth is about 600 grams per month, and in the second half of the year is about 500 grams per month. It can reach 9 kg at the age of 1 year. It can increase to 12 kg at 2 years old. After the age of 2, the average weight gain is about 2 kg per year.

Therefore, the approximate weight before puberty can be calculated according to the following formula: age X2 + 8 = weight (kg).

NOTE: Regular weight measurement and ensuring adequate nutrition for rapid growth in children is an important health care task. We adhere to the "4-2-1" physical examination system for preschool children: once every three months for children under one year old, once every six months for children between one and three years old, and once a year for children between three and seven years old.
