What to do if the baby's knee is broken?

Children are always naughty and very active in life, but their bones are not fully developed and they walk unsteadily. Some parents do not pay attention to their children and they are prone to fall. The most vulnerable area for children to get injured after a fall is the knee area, which looks very distressing. If a baby falls and breaks his knee, what methods should be used to recover and solve the problem?

1First of all, because the breakable area is mixed with microorganisms, I rinse it with clean water first, but many people do not recommend doing this, saying that it is easy to get infected. After rinsing with clean water, disinfect it with hydrogen peroxide. When hydrogen peroxide is poured on the wound, the skin will have a bubbling reaction, but this is a very normal phenomenon. Don't worry. It will be very painful when hydrogen peroxide is sprinkled on the wound, but it will pass if you bear with it.

2 After disinfecting with hydrogen peroxide, use a cotton swab to apply iodine to the wound. Don't worry, iodine is not very painful. After the wound is cleaned, you need to lay your leg flat and rest. The wound will be very swollen that night, and there will be a hot pain around the wound. It doesn't matter, just bear with it and take some anti-inflammatory medicine.

3. In the following days, before the wound heals, it needs to be disinfected every day, rubbed with iodine, and sprinkled with Yunnan Baiyao powder.

Precautions

Be careful not to let the wound come into contact with water

Because it was a knee injury, I couldn't bend my leg for about two weeks, and it was a bit inconvenient to walk.

What should I do if I break my knee while running?

After falling and breaking the skin, the epidermis of the knee skin is damaged, tissue fluid leaks, and foreign objects are contaminated. If not treated in time, secondary bacterial infection may occur, so the most important thing is to wash the wound clean. If there is no hospital nearby, rinse the wound with boiled cold water or mineral water first. Try not to use raw water. Wash away the mud and foreign objects around the wound, and then go to a health center or hospital for treatment in time. If you find that the skin is broken after flushing, you should cover it, preferably with a hemostatic patch. If you don’t have it, you can use a clean sterilized towel and then go to the hospital to seek help from a doctor.

The doctor will repeatedly rinse the wound with hydrogen peroxide to thoroughly remove foreign matter and necrotic tissue from the wound, then rinse it again with saline to clean the wound, disinfect it with iodine, and cover the wound surface with oil sand. Then apply erythromycin ointment to prevent bacterial infection, bandage with sterile gauze, and change the dressing after 2 to 3 days until the wound heals. In addition, when you fall and break the skin on your knee, you should not only think about the skin injury, but also consider whether there is any bone damage. If the pain is severe, it is recommended to go to the hospital for an X-ray to rule out any bone damage.
