How to pack children's chaos

Since children's intestines and mouths are relatively small, when they eat, try to give them smaller pieces of food so that they will have a better appetite. As for wontons, there are actually wontons specially made for children. The obvious difference between children's wontons and those eaten by adults is that their sizes and fillings are different. So how should we make wontons for children?

How to make children's wontons: Chicken soup wontons

Ingredients: 250 grams of wonton wrapper, 1 egg, 1 gram of pepper, 5 gingers, 3 grams of MSG, 12 grams of salt, 250 grams of minced pork, 1000 milliliters of chicken soup, 3 milliliters of Shaoxing wine, 225 milliliters of water, and 10 grams of green onion.

1. Wash and mince the ginger, soak it in a little water; stir the eggs in a bowl. Chop the green onions into chopped green onions.

2. Make the meat filling: Put the minced pork into a bowl, add 5 grams of fine salt and 225 ml of water; add it in several times, stirring while adding, and stir vigorously in one direction. When all the water is absorbed by the meat, pour the egg liquid into the meat. Remove the residue from the ginger juice and pour the juice into the meat. Add 1 gram of MSG, 3 milliliters of Shaoxing wine, and 0.5 gram of pepper powder. Continue stirring until it becomes a paste to form the filling.

3. Wrap the filling and shape: Take the wonton wrappers separately, put the meat filling in the middle of the wrappers, fold them into a triangle, and then fold the left and right corners inward and glue them together (spread a little filling paste on the glued parts) to make a diamond-shaped wonton blank.

4. Prepare the chicken soup: Divide 7 grams of salt, 2 grams of pepper and 2 grams of MSG evenly into 5 bowls. Add 200 ml chicken stock (slow-cooked broth made from hens) to each bowl.

5. Cooking wontons: Cook the wontons in boiling water over high heat. After putting the raw wontons into the pot, immediately stir them gently to prevent them from burning. After the water boils, add a small amount of cold water and cook until the wontons are wrinkled. Use a colander to scoop out the chicken and place it in a bowl of chicken soup, usually 10 pieces per bowl, and serve while hot.

How to make children's wontons: fresh meat wontons

Ingredients: 300g minced meat, 400g wonton wrapper, half a scallion, 2 slices of ginger, 10g salt, 20ml light soy sauce, 10ml cooking wine, 10ml cooking oil, 20ml oyster sauce, 5ml sesame oil, appropriate amount of seaweed, appropriate amount of dried shrimp, appropriate amount of chopped green onion.

1. Chop the green onion and ginger and set aside

2. Beat the eggs into the meat filling, add oyster sauce, salt and soy sauce, and stir in the same direction until the meat filling is firm.

3. Add oil to the meat filling to enhance the flavor and continue stirring.

9. Put water in a pot and bring it to a boil. Add the wontons and gently spread them out with a spoon. Cover the pot and wait for it to boil again. Open the lid and continue cooking on low heat for 1 to 2 minutes.

10. Take out the wontons and put them into a deep bowl. Pour in an appropriate amount of wonton soup. Finally, add an appropriate amount of chopped green onion, seaweed, dried shrimp and sesame oil into the bowl.

How to make children's wontons: pork and shrimp wontons

Ingredients: 50g fresh shrimp, 50g pork, appropriate amount of egg liquid, appropriate amount of starch or wonton skin, appropriate amount of oil, appropriate amount of salt.

1. Remove the heads and skins of the fresh shrimps, pick out the shrimp threads, and chop them into shrimp paste.

2. It is best to choose pork that is 30% fat and 70% lean and chop it into minced meat. The minced meat must be chopped for a while longer, into fine and small pieces. The fat in it will allow the minced meat to naturally mix and stick together. It doesn’t feel too hard or dry when eaten. Sometimes, whether the baby likes to eat this kind of stuffed wontons or dumplings depends on these small details.

3. Mix the shrimp paste and minced meat together, then add a little chopped green onion and minced ginger to enhance the flavor and remove the fishy smell.

4. After stirring evenly, add about 5 spoons of vegetable oil (seasoning spoon). (You can also add a little salt or additive-free soy sauce, try to keep it light and adjust it slightly according to your baby's taste.)

5. Add a little egg liquid to the meat filling to make the wontons more delicious. Be sure to note that it is not the whole egg, only a small part is used.

6. Don’t add too many eggs, otherwise the meat filling will become too watery and will easily leak out when making wontons.

7. Place the filling in the center of the wonton wrapper and fold the bottom short side upwards, making sure to stagger it at an angle.

8. Then, pinch the dumpling filling tightly around the edges to prevent it from leaking out. Merge the lower left corner and the lower right corner together.

9. Then pinch the two corners tightly and press them firmly.

10. Prepare enough food for your baby.

11. Put it into the pot and cook until done.

12. Add some thinly fried egg pancake shreds and a little seaweed to the wonton soup.
