1. General treatment

3. Other treatments

No side effects were observed. The efficacy of intravenous infusion of scopolamine and vitamin C is 92%. Plasma exchange therapy can be given when renal failure or rapidly progressive nephritis occurs.

4. Prognosis

The prognosis is good for those who do not develop nephritis, but those whose disease course lasts for one month to several months are prone to relapse. The intervals between recurrences vary from weeks to months. Severe intestinal bleeding can generally be easily controlled if treated appropriately. Intracranial hemorrhage is rare. The prognosis of this disease is mainly related to the nature of kidney lesions. Some cases may last for several years, but most people with mild kidney damage can gradually recover. A few severe cases may be accompanied by hypertensive encephalopathy and chronic renal failure, the latter of which often occurs several years after the onset of nephritis. It has been reported that the prognosis is often poor when kidney lesions occur within the first three months of the disease or the disease recurs and is accompanied by kidney disease.
