There are many benefits of children's spleen massage

For children, the spleen and stomach functions are not very good yet, and if you don't pay attention, you will experience symptoms of spleen and stomach discomfort, the most common of which is bloating. In this case, you can press and rub the four horizontal lines, press and rub the Banmen acupoint, push the spleen meridian acupoints, massage the abdomen, pinch the spine, etc. After persisting for a period of time, the baby's spleen and stomach will be greatly improved, and bloating will occur less and less.

1. Press and knead the four horizontal lines

The Four Horizontal Lines acupoint is located on the transverse lines of the first interphalangeal joints of the index, middle, ring and little fingers on the palm. During the operation, the operator holds the child's fingers with his left hand, and presses and rubs the four transverse lines acupoints with the index finger or middle finger of his right hand for about 2 to 3 minutes; the four transverse lines acupoints can also be pushed, and the four fingers of the child are put together. The operator uses the thumb of his right hand to push from the transverse line of the child's index finger to the transverse line of the little finger, and pushes 50 to 100 times. It has the effects of regulating qi, promoting the circulation of qi, harmonizing qi and blood, and eliminating bloating.

2. Press and rub the Tui Ban Men acupoint

Banmen acupoint is located on the thenar eminence of a child’s palm. During the operation, the operator holds the child's fingers with his left hand, dips the right thumb in talcum powder, and presses and rubs the Banmen acupoint. When massaging, you can do it clockwise or counterclockwise; you can also use the pushing method. Pushing from the base of the thumb to the transverse wrist line can stop diarrhea, and pushing from the transverse wrist line to the base of the thumb can stop vomiting. Pushing back and forth can adjust the spleen and stomach function. Massage for 2 to 3 minutes, pushing 50 to 100 times.

3. Push the spleen meridian points

The spleen meridian point is on the radial side of the child's thumb. During the operation, the operator pinches the four fingers of the child's left hand with the middle finger or ring finger of his left hand, and then pinches the child's thumb with the thumb and middle finger. The operator dips the thumb of his right hand into talcum powder, and pushes the child's spleen meridian point straightly, from the tip of the thumb to the base of the thumb, push 50 to 100 times, push straight in one direction, and do not push back and forth. It has the effect of strengthening the spleen and stomach.

4. Abdominal massage

The child lies supinely, and the operator uses the four fingers or palm of his right hand to make circular motions on the child's abdomen with the navel as the center. Massage in the direction of the large intestine is purgative and suitable for those with dry stools; massage against the direction of the large intestine is tonifying and suitable for those with loose stools. Generally, people choose to massage in half in the direction of the large intestine and half in the direction of the large intestine, and massage about 50 to 100 times. During the operation, the technique should not be too heavy, but should be appropriate; the operator's hands should not be too cold, but should be warm. It has the function of regulating the spleen and stomach.

5. Chiropractic

With both hands, continuously pinch and lift the skin along both sides of the spine from bottom to top, pushing forward while pinching, starting from the coccyx (dǐ) and continuing to pinch the occipital area (usually pinch to the Dazhui point, and can also extend to the Fengfu point). Repeat 3-5 times. Generally, pinch the spine once a day or every other day. Pinching the spine can improve blood dynamics, blood rheology, and enhance the reabsorption function of the small intestine; pinching the spine can increase the hemoglobin content in children with anemia.
