Baby's stool is millet-like

Baby's stool is millet-like

If the baby's stool is in the shape of millet grains, it means that the child's digestion is not good. On the one hand, it is related to the imperfect digestive system, and on the other hand it may be related to the child's daily diet. If the baby catches a cold or is fed with milk powder, this situation may occur. As a parent, you should observe the child's bowel movements and give the baby some food that promotes digestion. If the condition is serious, seek medical attention in time.

Baby's stool is millet-like

The digestive system of newborns is generally not fully developed and the enzyme activity is very low, so they cannot completely digest and absorb food. Rapid growth and development in children can also cause this. It contains many particles and tastes sour, which is caused by poor fat digestion. Breastfeeding women can only feed their babies the first half of the milk, and the second half of the milk with a high fat content should be squeezed out and discarded. At the same time, mothers can drink more water and eat less high-fat or oily foods. For breastfeeding babies, you can feed skimmed milk, or boil the milk and then cool it slightly, then peel off the condensed "milk skin" on the surface.

What to do if your child has indigestion

1. Observe the condition. In addition to improper feeding, gastrointestinal inflammation, abuse of antibiotics, cold weather, low resistance, and cold stomach can all cause indigestion. Therefore, when your baby shows symptoms of indigestion, it is important to figure out which one is causing it. Only after knowing the cause of the disease can we prescribe the right medicine to alleviate the condition.

2. Reduce the amount of food you eat. When parents find that indigestion is caused by the baby eating some difficult-to-digest food, they should not feed the baby too much next time. You can eat some porridge, paste and other foods that are easier to digest. In addition, do not eat too much greasy or fried food. Don’t eat cakes, cream, etc.

3. Boil dried hawthorn slices in water and drink it. Hawthorn contains a large amount of vitamin C and acidic substances, which can promote the secretion of gastric juice, increase enzymes in the stomach, and thus aid digestion. You can add some sugar appropriately. This is usually eaten greasy during the Spring Festival, and we often use it to boil water to drink. It has the effects of strengthening the spleen, relieving stagnation, harmonizing the stomach, aiding digestion and replenishing qi.

4. Apple. Apples can both relieve diarrhea and promote bowel movements. The tannic acid, organic alkali and other substances contained in it have astringent effects, and the pectin contained in it can absorb toxins. For simple mild diarrhea, eating apples alone can stop diarrhea. The cellulose in apples can stimulate intestinal peristalsis and accelerate defecation, so it also has a laxative effect.

5. Traditional Chinese medicine massage.

Massage with four horizontal lines The four horizontal lines are on the palm, the second horizontal line counting from the fingertips of the index, middle, ring and little fingers. Parents can ask the baby to put four fingers together and push from the horizontal line of the index finger to the horizontal line of the little finger, and do this for 1 to 2 minutes.
