Why do children often have numb feet?

In our daily lives, we often encounter limb numbness, which is generally normal. However, if foot numbness occurs in children, especially if it happens frequently, it will naturally attract the attention of parents. After all, children's physical resistance is poor, and parents are afraid that there is something wrong with their children's body. So, why do children often have numbness in their feet? Let’s take a look below.

1. If the symptom can be eliminated by moving her legs and feet after she feels numb, then it is caused by insufficient blood supply. Such a young child generally does not have vascular disease, and in most cases it is caused by compression. It is worth noting that if you have an improper posture when sitting or lying down, with your thighs crossed, even a small external pressure may block blood circulation. When the entire leg is numb due to insufficient blood supply, it will be even more uncomfortable if the foot touches something.

2. Although it is possible, it is unlikely to happen, so don't worry too much. If there is a disease in the nervous system or some injuries affect the nerves, it will also cause numbness. For example, herniated disc, sprain, etc.

3. There is a possibility of calcium deficiency

It is recommended to take calcium gluconate orally after checking the trace elements in the hospital. Eat more foods that are rich in calcium or can promote calcium absorption. For example: milk (human milk, cow's milk, goat's milk, etc.) is rich in calcium and is fully absorbed; animal liver, egg yolk, fish, meat and beans are rich in vitamin D, which can promote calcium absorption, but the vitamin D in animals and plants must be converted into endogenous vitamin D through ultraviolet radiation before it can be used by the human body, so children should get appropriate sun exposure. Seafood such as kelp and small shrimp skins are high in calcium; seaweed and cauliflower are also rich in calcium, and eating broad beans with the skin improves calcium absorption; adding vinegar to bones to make soup can increase calcium, and refined vinegar spare ribs are also rich in calcium; frying the fish until crispy and eating it with the bones can increase the calcium content.

If activity does not relieve symptoms, or if it can relieve symptoms but happens frequently and feels abnormal, you should go to a regular hospital for a check-up as soon as possible, because the earlier you start treatment, the better the effect.
