Sleep time and precautions for seven-month-old babies

A seven-month-old baby is in a critical stage of physical growth. At this time, we must provide our babies with adequate nutrition, and we must also ensure that our babies get enough sleep. Otherwise, improper rest may cause our babies to experience dizziness and headaches, which will affect our baby's future memory development. Let's briefly describe the sleep time for a seven-month-old baby.

A 1.7-month-old baby normally sleeps 15-16 hours a day, and sleeps 2-3 times during the day, each time for 2-2.5 hours. Sleeping too long during the day will inevitably affect your sleep at night. If the baby sleeps too much during the day, parents can consciously wake the baby up or play with him for a while longer. After a few days of adjustment, you will gradually develop the habit of sleeping less during the day and sleeping longer at night.

2. There are many possible reasons why a baby cries. The mother should find out the reason why the baby is crying and then prescribe the right medicine.

Reasons why babies cry:

1. Lack of trace elements and low blood calcium levels will cause increased excitability of the brain and autonomic nerves, resulting in the baby's restless sleep at night. Calcium and vitamin D supplementation is needed. If calcium is deficient, the baby's fontanelle will not close well; if zinc is deficient, the corners of the mouth will generally ulcerate.

2. Too hot or too cold

3. Too dry, with mucus in the nose

4. Don’t play too excitedly before going to bed, go to bed on time: 0.5 to 1 hour before the baby goes to sleep, the baby should be calmed down. Don’t play too excitedly before going to bed, and don’t tease the baby too much. This prevents your baby from having difficulty falling asleep due to being too excited or nervous. No stimulating TV shows, no tense or scary stories, and no new toys. Create a good sleeping environment for your baby. The room temperature is suitable, quiet and the light is dim. The covering should be light, soft and dry. Let your baby urinate before going to bed.

The sleep time of a seven-month-old baby should be controlled at more than nine hours to help our baby recover better physical strength. At the same time, we must help our baby supplement calcium and various vitamins. Providing our baby with some milk every morning and evening can achieve a good calcium supplement effect.
