Which second-class vaccines are necessary?

Which second-class vaccines are necessary?

These days everyone is discussing various vaccine issues, especially now that second children are being born one after another, so many parents are paying more attention to the time of baby vaccination and the types of vaccines that must be vaccinated, so that they can avoid misunderstandings about vaccination. There are several vaccines that must be administered, so let me introduce to you some relevant knowledge about vaccination.

What is a Class II vaccine?

Let me briefly explain what Category II vaccines are, because many new mothers may not have much knowledge about vaccination.

In our country's vaccination program, vaccines are divided into two types. One is the compulsory injection by the state. This type of vaccine is free, such as BCG, hepatitis B vaccine, diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus vaccine, etc. This type of vaccine is generally administered as required after the baby is born, and then you will be given a vaccination book, which will also be needed for the baby to go to school in the future. This type of vaccine is a type of vaccine.

There is another type of vaccine that is not free from the government, which means you have to pay for your baby's vaccination yourself. Of course, the government does not force it. This type of vaccine, such as chickenpox, influenza, rotavirus, etc., is collectively referred to as Class II vaccines.

Are Category II vaccines unimportant?

Many mothers think that since Category II vaccines are not mandatory for vaccination by the state, does that mean that Category II vaccines are unimportant?

Of course not! The division between Class I and Class II vaccines only differs in cost and management among countries, but there is no scientific difference.

In many other countries, basically all vaccines are free, but due to some economic reasons, my country has not yet achieved free vaccination of all vaccines. However, from a scientific point of view, vaccination with self-paid vaccines can give babies more extensive protection.

Therefore, of course, Category I vaccines must be administered. If your financial conditions allow, try to take your baby for Category II vaccines as well.

Adverse reactions after vaccination

After thinking about why everyone is always afraid of vaccines, the president concluded that the biggest possibility is that they are scared by the news.

In recent years, there have been news reports about serious consequences for babies after vaccination, including death, paralysis, etc. There are also some Weibo or WeChat accounts spreading various rumors about vaccines in order to attract attention. They usually mix the true and false together, making it difficult for ordinary parents to distinguish.

Are vaccines 100% safe? no! This is related to the production of vaccines.

Vaccines are essentially processed pathogenic bacteria or viruses that have been rendered non-pathogenic through scientific means. They are then injected into the human body to simulate a harmless infection process, allowing the immune system to produce antibodies to prevent the disease from occurring again.

However, some babies may have congenital immune deficiencies or some other reasons may cause the inactivated bacteria and viruses to become pathogenic again, causing the baby to be infected with the disease, such as "sugar pills".

However, mothers need to understand that this probability is extremely low, usually a few in a million, so compared to the benefits of vaccination in preventing diseases, those extremely low possible side effects are actually not something to worry about.

To make an inappropriate analogy, we will not give up the convenience brought by cars just because cars may get into accidents, so we should not give up the huge benefits that vaccines may bring just because of the extremely low risks that they may bring.

As long as the prescribed vaccines are administered according to normal procedures, the benefits will always outweigh the harm to the baby.
