What causes nipple pain in girls

Nipple pain in girls may be because the breasts are in the first stage of development, usually when girls are around 10 years old. At this time, the secondary characteristics of women begin to develop, so nipple pain will occur. If it is not caused by breast development, it may be caused by endocrine disorders, breast tumors or breast diseases. I still hope that mothers will take their girls to the hospital to check the cause of breast disease.

1. When children are around ten years old, as sexual development begins, secondary sexual characteristics gradually appear. Nipples bloom like flower buds, and breasts gradually swell like hillocks.

2. The development of a girl's breasts is regulated by the anterior pituitary gland, adrenal cortex and ovarian endocrine hormones, and is also affected by the regulatory effects of the thyroid gland and other factors. The central nervous system is the "command center" that controls breast development in adolescent girls. It instructs the pituitary gland to secrete gonadotropin, which acts on the ovaries to prompt them to secrete estrogen and progesterone. Estrogen can promote the growth and branching of mammary ducts, thereby enlarging the breasts; while progesterone can promote the development of mammary alveoli, causing elastic fat to be deposited in the breasts. In addition, the prolactin "produced" by the anterior pituitary gland will directly affect breast development.

3. For girls in the adolescent development stage, the estrogen level in the body increases before menstruation, which causes the milk ducts to expand and the epithelial cells to increase and hypertrophy. This will cause edema of the matrix around the milk ducts and make the breasts swollen and hard. Sometimes, nodule-like lumps can be felt in the breasts and they feel distension and tenderness. This is a normal physiological phenomenon in breast development.

4. Some girls who like to eat fried chicken, ice cream, cream cake and other high-calorie, high-fat desserts, consume too many calories, which are converted into too much fat, exceeding the absorption and filling limit of the breast interstitial structure, and may even cause lumps or pain in the breast. But all of this is temporary and will disappear on its own as the body adjusts itself. Breast pain in girls usually occurs two or three days before menstruation. As menstruation disappears, the estrogen level in the body decreases, the ends of the milk ducts and lobules degenerate and recover, the milk ducts become smaller, the epithelial cells shrink and fall off, and the pain and tenderness will naturally disappear.
