Cerebral palsy is a common brain disease in daily life, which has a great impact on people's physical condition and health. Many cerebral palsy patients have a great impact on their intellectual development, and sometimes even affect their normal thinking. Some cerebral palsy patients are caused by congenital reasons, which leads many people to undergo cerebral palsy examination when they are newborns. So for newborns with cerebral palsy, what tests are needed to truly confirm it? I always suspect that my baby has cerebral palsy. What should I do to check? It is well known that the diagnosis of any disease cannot be separated from detailed examination. Cerebral palsy is very harmful to patients. If you suspect that your baby has symptoms of cerebral palsy, you must go to the hospital for examination in time. Generally speaking, parents should take their children to pediatrics or neurology department for treatment. Common examination methods include medical history inquiry, cranial MRI, brainstem auditory evoked potential, physical examination and rehabilitation assessment. About 80% of children with cerebral palsy have abnormal brain waves, among which the rate of EEG abnormalities is high in hemiplegia. Through head CT and MRI examinations, 1/2-2/3 of children with cerebral palsy will show abnormalities, but normal results cannot deny the diagnosis of this disease. What are the early symptoms of cerebral palsy in babies? In daily life, there are some more careful mothers who always find abnormalities in their baby's every move. We all know that cerebral palsy brings great harm to children. In order to discover its existence in time, we must understand its early symptoms. The early manifestations of cerebral palsy in babies are mainly: excessive quietness; low and weak crying, high frequency; poor appetite; difficulty in feeding, very fond of fighting, often running out to go crazy, symmetrical dorsiflexion; the baby's reflex arc is very slow; the hands cannot grab things or make fists normally, etc. Once the baby is found to have the above symptoms, parents must be highly vigilant and take the child to the hospital for a detailed examination to rule out the possibility of cerebral palsy. If unfortunately cerebral palsy is diagnosed, parents should not give up treatment. As far as current medical technology is concerned, patients with mild cerebral palsy can live a normal life as long as they receive timely treatment. |
