Newborn baby has a sound in the throat

Newborn baby has a sound in the throat

There are many possible reasons why a newborn's throat makes noise when breathing. First, it may be excessive secretions in the throat. This is a relatively common situation. It may be related to the baby's milk drinking situation. It is not a disease. You just need to pay more attention to it. Another situation is congenital laryngeal stridor, which has a lot to do with the adverse effects of the pregnant mother during pregnancy. There are other reasons as well, learn about them below.

1. The child's vocalization is caused by increased secretions in the throat, which is very common. Disease is not considered in this case. This situation is related to drinking milk. At present, children in this condition do not need any treatment. They should drink more water and pat their backs more often to promote the discharge of throat secretions. They also need to keep warm to prevent catching cold.

2. It should be congenital laryngeal stridor, which is caused by malnutrition during pregnancy, fetal calcium deficiency, or the epiglottis cartilage is too large and soft, and the laryngeal cavity becomes narrow and vibrates like a valve. Clinical manifestations: The baby's breathing is normal at birth, and the laryngeal stridor gradually occurs 1 to 2 months after birth. Most of them are continuous or intermittently aggravated.

3. Laryngitis only occurs during the inhalation phase and may be accompanied by inspiratory dyspnea. There are also cases where the laryngitis is not obvious at ordinary times, but occurs immediately after a slight stimulation. Some are related to body position, which worsens when lying on the back and is milder when lying prone or on the side. Most children are in good general condition and their crying is not hoarse. Note: The disease will worsen during upper respiratory tract infection. With older age, the laryngeal cartilage gradually develops and the laryngitis gradually disappears. Generally, it can heal itself by the age of 2 to 3 years old. Vitamin AD preparations and calcium tablets can be taken regularly to promote calcium absorption. Pay attention to prevent cold and fright at ordinary times to avoid respiratory tract infection and laryngeal spasm, which will aggravate laryngeal obstruction.

4. When the baby leaves the mother's body and starts to live independently, the internal and external environment has undergone drastic changes, and the baby's physiological regulation and adaptability are not yet mature. For example: the baby's nose and nasopharyngeal cavity are relatively short, the nasal passage is narrow and low, there is no nasal hair, the nasal mucosa is soft and rich in blood vessels, and it is easy to have nasal congestion. The baby's throat is relatively long, the laryngeal cavity is narrow, the vocal cords and mucosa are soft and rich in blood vessels, which can easily cause wheezing. If the baby only makes snoring sounds when feeding, it is a normal physiological phenomenon. If the baby usually makes sounds and has difficulty breathing and cyanosis around the mouth, it is recommended to go to the children's hospital for examination and treatment.

5. Newborns usually have dry coughs in the early stages of respiratory tract infections, followed by increased bronchial secretions. However, newborns do not produce phlegm, so they make snoring sounds when breathing. It is often accompanied by symptoms such as fever and loss of appetite. If the newborn has gurgling throat due to respiratory tract infection, bronchitis, pneumonia and other diseases, active treatment should be given under the guidance of a doctor.
