What are the symptoms before your baby starts teething?

We all know that babies have no teeth after they are born. As they grow, their teeth will slowly come out. When most babies are teething, their mothers will buy them some biscuits such as teething sticks, because during the teething process, they will feel that the gums are particularly itchy, and at this time they like to bite things. So what are the symptoms before babies grow teeth?

Generally, when babies are teething, they will have a fever, drool, blow bubbles, and become irritable and cry. Because the deciduous teeth are growing, the baby's gums will feel itchy, so he starts to like sucking his fingers or biting toys. At this time, mothers can prepare some teething sticks or chewing gums for their babies to relieve the discomfort of teething.

Babies will have some abnormal behaviors during teething, and different babies will have different behaviors. Generally speaking, there are nine aspects:

1. Pain: Your baby may show signs of pain and discomfort.

2. Bad temper: The discomfort caused by teething can make the baby bad tempered and cry a lot, which is especially obvious one or two days before teething.

3. Red cheeks: You may notice red spots on your baby’s cheeks.

4. Drooling: The excessive saliva produced during teething will cause the baby to drool frequently.

5. Chewing, biting or chewing things: If you put anything near the baby's mouth, he may do the above actions.

6. Swollen gums: Check his mouth to see if there is any redness or swelling on the gums.

7. Restless sleep: Your baby may wake up in the middle of the night and seem irritable, even though he had been sleeping soundly before.

8. Increased body temperature: Teething can cause the body temperature to rise slightly, so your baby may feel a little hotter than usual.

9. Butt pain: Although we don't know the reason yet, some parents have noticed that babies are more likely to suffer from diaper rash and may have loose stools when they are teething. The diet of babies aged 4-6 months is still mainly breast milk (or formula milk), and the main purpose of adding complementary foods is to try eating.

Start with a small amount, i.e. 1-2 spoons, and then gradually increase the amount. Mainly provide liquid and paste food. You can provide iron-fortified rice cereal (can be made with breast milk, formula milk or apple juice), vegetable puree (3-4 kinds), fruit juice or puree (juice should be diluted with water at a ratio of 2:1 or 1:1, then drink the original juice, followed by puree), egg yolk (5 months old), fish puree, chicken, duck meat, and pork. Rice flour: Add 3-4 spoons of warm water to 1 spoon of rice flour, let it sit, then use chopsticks to stir in a clockwise direction until it becomes a paste. Rice soup: Bring the water to a boil, then add 200g of washed rice. After boiling, simmer until it becomes porridge. Take the top layer of rice soup and you can eat it. Egg yolk paste: Boil the eggs, mash them into paste with a sieve bowl or spoon, then add appropriate amount of boiling water or formula milk and mix well.
